| What are Auras? | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Everyone has an aura. An aura is an energy surrounding a body. Animals have them, plants have them, even inanimate objects have them. The aura can extend far from the body, or not far at all. The human aura is supposed to be around 6 feet, I think. More often, they're around 3. |

| Seeing Auras | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Here is the first fact: anyone can see auras. Yes, even you. All it takes is practice and patience, just like playing the violin. ;) No, really! First, you have to start gazing at things. Not staring, gazing. There's a subtle difference. You can't look too hard. It's like trying to see one of those "Magic Eye" pitcures. You have to just let your eyes go soft and unfocus. This is why I say gazing. Be aware This takes a while. I practiced first on trees. They were the easiest for me to see, and they didn't mind if I stared at them. The best is to have a solid background. A brick wall, a white wall, the sky. The first thing you will see is the main energy field. I think you see this first because it's the strongest. The main energy field extends about an inch or two inches from the body, and is clear. It looks rather like vapor; it has that same clear, shiny quality. Now comes the hard part. Gaze two or three inches away from the body. Don't gaze directly at the body. You will see it, when you do, in your peripheral vision. When you blink, or dart your gaze back trying to catch it, it will vanish again. Don't lose heart! This takes practice, but of course like anything, the more you practice the easier it gets, and soon you can see it without it disappearing. It is very worth it. Auras, when you do see them, are absolutely beautiful. |

| I'm sorry that I can't say what the colors mean, as I've only just begun seeing them myself. I've heard though, that a color guide isn't really reliable, and so just to observe, and go by your own instincts. That is the best way in any case. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Good luck! And remember, practice practice! | |||||||||||||||||||||
