| When Huey didn't do his homework, his teacher didn't have any homework to check and she had free time watching television. She didn't bother telling Huey to do his work and after many times passed by, she didn't bother to have any work at all. She watched television all day long. When Huey finally did his homework, she was too lazy to check it and let her assisstant help her correct the work while she relax. After a couple of times, Huey hand in his work again but that didn't bother her because she had an assisstant to correct the work for her. She depended on the assisstant to do her work because she was addicted to television already. When her assisstant quit, she didn't bother to correct the homework becasue she depended on her assisstant. She didn't even do any of her job apart from watching television until her work piles up. That is called learned laziness, or when she depended on somebody to help do her job and couldn't do it herself. To prevent your teacher from checking homeworks and quizzes after a week, you should hand in your work regularly or she/he may adopt learned laziness or learned helplessness. |
