My freind John, a proffessional tile setter, helped and taught me to set tile on my counter top. Soon, I began going with him on some small tile jobs as his helper. I learned quickly to use the tile saw. We started an installation company together.
I always encouraged my customers to do designs and decos, but didn't find what I was looking for in the manufactured designs and decos. Before long, I began creating custom borders and decos, putting the designs in floors and on walls.
The maddness didn't stop there. I moved from Ohio to southern California in June of 2000. After being thrown out and rejected by many tile shops in Anahiem, I created my first commercial art peice for an animal hospital in August 2000. I began putting my designs in backsplashes, on table tops, and in floors. Then came fountains, pots, and mirrors. After that I started making custom murals and signs. The rule is--if it doesn't move---tile it. Here is a small sampling of my work, created with pleasure for your pleasure.
