| Hello my name is Devon Nelson I was born October 25, 1986 in Red Bluff California. I have many hobbies including building Computer Solutions for my self, Working on my own personal cars and others vehicles, I also love to reasearch important topics. As of now I live with my Father, My Mother divorced my Father in 1991, now she is married to a new guy, who has 3 wonderful kids! (Yeah Right) I lived with my father in Elementary School and Middle school up till 8th grade. Then I lived with my Mom and new Step Father in 9th grade for my 2001-2002 school year. I also lived to duke it out another year with my step family for the 2002-2003 school year. I feel I have accomplished a lot from 1999-2003, especially in school. In 7th and 8th grade, I had failing grades and was planning to be held back, in 8th grade I was suspended 5 times (6 is the max) and to top that off this was my WORST time in school in my whole life. In the 9th grade year I needed a swift kick in the ass to start accomplishing things and to improve in school. Although I took the very minimum basic required classes, I got my grades up to a C average and did a best of 2.5 G.P.A in my Freshman year. I also made some pretty cool friends! Sophomore year was a bit of a challenge for me. I chose to take AP computer science/programming, which was a mistake, eventhough I got a B the first quarter, second quarter was a different story. The programming part of the class was very hard, The school reccomended having completed Algebra 1 which I never had. This and in part to my poor math skills led me to drop the class and take the easier computer apps 1 class. And now back to my poor math skills, I decided to make the jump from prep math to Algebra 1 which even my 9th grade Prep Math Teacher did not recomend. I thought that since they wanted me to take Algebra 1a and then my Junior year Algebra 1b, why not take regular 1 and do it all in a year insted of spread out 2 years. That was a mistake, I did well the first quarter just like the AP computer class but by the second quarter I was struggling. So unfortunately I had to transfer in to Algebra 1a and finish 1b next year. So whats the good news about sophomore year? I had my first quarter a 3.2 G.P.A second quarter a 2.6 G.P.A Third quarter a 3.0 and forth quarter a 3.0, which is a Big improvent over my freshman grades. I feel proud of myself, I also took the harder CP English II or College Prep English. Unfortunatly with my Mother leaving and moving to Florida, I have to make another school change and make new friends again! sigh. Also I really miss my Mother being across the united states. Iam also a very hard intollerable person to get along with, which means I have hardily and friends. But anyways All I can say is never give up! And no matter what choose your own path, don't ever let anyone else EVER change your mind. Thank you for your time reading this. Devon Nelson |
