To carry on his career Reeves needed more serious roles and found them in the likes of "Dracula" and Point Break". These wernt huge hits, but proved he could take up any role he was cast in. "Speed" in 1995 gave Reeves a more dynamic and action packed role, and won him many fans.
After "Speed" his career seemed to flounder a little and critics thought his early successes were flukes, and that Reeves really wasnt as good an actor as was first thought.
Almost out of the blue he put in a superb performance opposite Al Pacino in the exellent "Devils Advocate" in 1997.
After seeing this film I knew Keanu wasnt as bad as people made out to be, and it won him much respect.
"The Matrix" was his best film of all time, and is spawning 2 sequals.
