| Sorry i couldnt help it, i just had to change the colour of Brets name tag from the normal white to the flashy pink. Here i will provide a brief history of Bret Hart, a wrestler whos had more ups and downs than any Blackpool roller coaster. Hart was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada, and his pro debut came way back in 1976. Along with a few of this brothers, Bret decided to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a wrestler. His father is the infamous Stu Hart, whos "Dungeon" trained many of the most famous names on the wrestling scene. Hart won the WCW and WWF title an amazing 7 times, and was probably the major draw for over 8 years. Brets WWF career made him a hero to everyone north of the Canadian/US border. He battled all the greats, from Hulk Hogan to Stone Cold Steve Austin. His "Hart Foundation" With the British Bulldog, Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart (as well as a few others) had a cult following, and is still regarded as one of the best factions in wrestling history. For most of his career, Bret was always considered a face (good guy) up until 1996. Here he battled Steve Austin in what many people say is the bloodyest match they have ever seen. In the match Bret Hart became the heel of the company (bad guy) when he beat up Austin so bad the mat was covered in blood. Bret continued to play heel (to the americans anyway) with his Canadian and British Hart Foundation backing him up. In 1997 at "Survivor Series" Bret Offically ended his WWF Contract. Weeks before the show Hart was involved in a fight between him and his opponent, Shawn Michaels. This along with countless shoot arguments made the match a classic, but the ending was frought with controversy. Bret had Michaels in his trademark move, the "Sharpshooter". Both participants had agreed that the match should end with Bret winning, but WWF owner Vince Mcmahon had other ideas. He ended the match, gave Michaels the victory and later was punched by Bret Hart. That match became a classic for all the wrong reasons, and no one apart from Vince and Bret really know what happened. Some people think it was fake, making Bret look like he had been screwed, while giving Vince the greatest heel persona ever. Bret continued his career in WCW, but he failed to make his mark, and in the end began to drop out of the title scene. The worst moment of Brets life happened in 1997, when his brother Owen died at a WWF event. After this tragic incident Bret left for a while, and when he returned he was the biggest face in WCW. After winning the title Bret decided to end his career in 2000 on a rather low key note. Many call him the best wrestler that ever lived, and testament to his great abilities, is so far the only wrestler to appear on the Simpsons. |
