The best news so far for fans this year is that two great CD-ROMs have released for sale:
 

• Far Future Enterprises, the owner of the 2300 AD rpg, is now selling "2300 AD: The Canon on CD-ROM".  If you are a fan, collector, or gamemaster of 2300AD, this is the must-have product as it is an amazing collection of PDFs.
   
• D.W Malesevich Enterprises has released his "20 Years of Work" CD-ROM.  It encompasses all of Dave's excellent PDFs of starships, equipment, maps and more.  These are all high quality PDFs, designed for laser printing -- the excerpts and samples here are my site ( in the "America in 2300AD" section) were all "low-qual/compressed" to save bandwidth.  Sample pages are provided on his site.

Today is Ocho de Mayo.  Join me in lifting a toast to General Zachary "Old Rough-and-Ready!" Taylor and his troops for their victory defending Palo Alto ( in Texas) from a Mexican Army attack in 1846, in the first major battle of the Mexican-American War. Today is the 100th Anniversary of the Great San Francisco Earthquake.

So consider "shaking up" your campaign in rememberance ( and don't forget to look into real earthquake safety tips, if they affect where you live).
