Been collecting Traveller 2300 stuff since 1987, back in college. Never
been a fan of the GDW system (just the campaign). Hoping to start a new
campaign soon, considering using the Babylon Project rules set. Recently
abused the Star Cruiser rules and designed a "super carrier" for the
American space fleet. The USS Independance. She's over 300 meters long,
carries 60 combat fighters with a total crew of 1200 and supplies for
6mo of unsupported combat action. Cost 5BLv fully loaded, but seams to
be worth the expense. Felt that the US would eventually go back to it's
old (20th century) naval traditions. Ship enters service in 2303, after
the first Kafer invasion.

Hiya!
I've been playing Traveller since 1978, and even played some of
2300 back when it was called Traveller 2300. I'm currently putting
together a new campaign, using Traveller, for Terra in 2150. There
are a lot of similarities with 2300, your site has lots of great
data. If you could, tell me how to subscribe to the 2300 mailing
list, I'd love to keep up with developments.
Thanks

Brilliant. Just one quible on the British names bit. You listed
the names as English names however quite a few were Scots, Welsh,

people like being referred to as English.

I guess a little hard work pays off sometimes... I was looking all
over the Internet for some kind of web page devoted to 2300 AD, in
my opinion one of the best RPG settings ever published, but
everyone's into Traveller ::mutter, grumble::. Then I found your
site. Hallelujah! I'm currently running a 2300 game with
the GURPS rules, and though I have a number of the original books, even
those are a bit incomplete (I was so thrilled to find write-ups on the
Sung and the Xiang...). Keep up the good work; I'm bookmarking this page!

Long time 2300 player, heartbroken by the fall of GDW. Love
the "Ring". Have run 2300AD games for roughly 8-10 years. I
will spend some time digesting the other pages, then I might add a
page to the "Ring".

I'm glad to see someone is keeping the memory of this great game
going. At this moment in time the internet is the only ongoing
source of good stuff. Keep up the good work.
PS Why do all the British sources assume we will still have
an aristocharcy and monarchy in 2300? We're no longer ruled
by the descendants of Charles II's mistresses!

- Hi there.. Great page.. 2300AD is one of my favorite RPGS.. Have
loads of material for it but will have to do a lot of editing to get it
ready for viewing/using on the net.. When I get some time off I'll
try to dedicate more time to 2300AD.
- 12-12-96 jfulghum AT awod DOT com

of 2300AD and started playing Traveller since it came out (1977 if I
remember right). Please do more with equipment of all types (I admit

- Great Job. Thanks for getting me online, one suggestion though,
you might want to put the Strategy rules up in HTML, so people can
look at them before they download them, it might give them more
incentive to do so.

- GDW might be dead, but 2300ad is not!
