Here are some of the most common abbreviations used on the various 2300AD-related lists.
Note: unless stated otherwise, everything is a GDW ( now FFE) product.
The two second edition rulebooks are referred to as: DG = 2300AD Director's Guide ( in the 2300AD boxed set) AG = 2300AD Adventurer's Guide ( in the 2300AD boxed set) The two first edition rulebooks are referred to as: DM = Traveller:2300 Director's Manual PM = Traveller:2300 Player's Manual The other products: ASB = Aurore Sourcebook Ch#nn = Challenge magazine, where the "nn" is the issue number. CSC = Classic SC, which is the same as SC. Typically used in messages when SC and SC2 are discussed in the same message. ECS = Earth/Cyberpunk Sourcebook E/CS = Earth/Cyberpunk Sourcebook GG2 = Steven Alexander's Great Game 2 project. GVG = Ground Vehicle Guide KSB = Kafer Sourcebook MA = Mission Arcturus NAM = Naval Architects Manual, which came in their SC box. NAM2 = My project adding onto NAM, plus automating it. NyoSB = Nyotekundu Sourcebook OpOver = 3W's Operation Overlord SC = Star Cruiser SC2 = My project adding onto SC, plus automating it. SotFA = Ships of the French Arm T2K = Twilight:2000 rpg, there were two editions: v1.0 ( which 2300AD is based on), and v2.0 ( which had two revisions, v2.1 and v2.2). TD#nn = DGP's The Travellers' Digest magazine, where the "nn" is the issue number.
There are a few more abbreviations for other 2300 products, but they are used less often, or have multiple spellings.
