Everyone seemed to have a great time at this year's Pentagon Picnic. This is the fourth picnic that Darlene and I have coordinated. This year we added a luau theme. Everyone received a lei and a warm greeting as they entered the Swatara Creek park. Keeping with the tropical theme, catering and much of the decorating was done by Denise, to rave reviews. All of the band members and crew joined us, and we estimate the total attendance to be just shy of 60 people. There were door prizes, and photo ops galore. And as is tradition, we gathered the fans and band for group shots. I hope to post some of these in the next few days (but I have to get a new scanner first).

Later, at HersheyPark, JC greeted the audience with a call to "luau!" Rich thanked those who took part in creating the picnic. Al, Mike and Rick wore their leis while they did the Beach Boys medley. And the rockin' continued right up to the closing bars of "Louis Louis."

When Pentagon plays HersheyPark it seems like one big shindig. I hope you all enjoyed the little luau, as just one small part of this amazing 6 day party.
