63-8352, a 357th TFS F-105F Wild Weasel at Takhli.
For a long time, this particular jet was thought to have been flown by then-Captain Merlyn H.
Dethlefsen on his 10 March 1967 Medal of Honor winning
mission. However, quite recently, noted F-105 historian Howard Plunkett discovered in the plane's records that this F-105 was not assigned to Takhli at all at that time.
Thanks to Mr. Jeff Dethlefsen, Merle's son, I learned that he was flying 63-8341 on the CMOH mission.

Major Larry Guarino of the 44th TFS at Korat RTAFB in June 1965
shortly before he was shot down and became a guest of the Hanoi Hilton.
His memoirs have been published under the title:
"A P.O.W.'s Story: 2801 Days in Hanoi".
Very well written, it is an absolute must read for those who want an insight on that
20th century plague named communism...

End Of Tour for Major Art Hood (standing left of sign) of the 357th TFS in December 1968
One of the last pilots to complete a 100 Missions North Vietnam tour, after the October 31,
1968 bombing halt. The other 45 missions were so called non-counters to Laos or South Vietnam.
