I came to this site bt chance. I noticed you in the WEB WARS, but that is not what brought me here. It was comments made by a friend named Mike Gillhoolley last year when he mentioned how the memorial had been damaged by vandals.
I was very impressed with the layout and I especially liked the banner on the main page which displays : IT IS THE SOLDIER. So very true.
Keep up the good work.

I think Canada should get in touch with reality and start paying more attention to what Canadians have done to keep this country free and how they helped their neighbour in this almost forgotten conflict.

Remember Here I stand, huge, dark and angular, firmly planted on the ground. I cannot move, but I have the power to move others. Those who see me see fear, confusion, courage, sacrifice. They hear crying, laughing, an explosion of noise, a dreaded silence. Some look at me with pride, while others turn away in disgust. Yet no one greets me with indifference, for I am a part of mankind. It is man's needs and greeds that brought me into being. I am the rich and the poor, the good and the bad, the brave and the cowardly. I am one and I am many. When you look at me, remember a boy barely out of his teens, calling for his mother. Remember a father who never got to see his child. Remember a man who knows the burden of sending others to a probable death. I am America's blood, her anguish, and her strength. No matter what you think of the cause, when you look at me see the faces of those whose names I bear. Never let their valour be forgotten. Here I stand for all eternity, so that the memory of those who died in the Vietnam War will live on. THE AUTHOUR IS UNKNOWN TO

Nam. What comes to your mind when you hear that word, to some, horror, to me it's just a war that was fought even before I was born, 9 years after it ended I came into the world, but now I take great interest in the war and I beleive that all the men who ought deserve to be recognized with honor. Boys not much older than I were sent eight thousand miles around the world to Nam, a place that they didn't even know exsisted until they ended up there, some of them would never come home, 58,209 of them never m de it back. To all the Veterans of The Vietnam War, I would like to salute you for you bravery, and to those who are not here any longer, you are true heros and you will never be forgotten. Never. I took a class called History of the Vietnam War. It was an excellent class. My dad is Canadian and although he wasn't a U.S. citizen he did have to participate in the draft. He was born in Windsor, Ontario but he lives in Michigan. So with this relati nship to Canada, when I learned that there were Canadian volunteers I was interested to know whether or not their names were honored on the Wall here in the U.S. I am thankful for all of the veterans who fought, served, and died in Vietnam. They are tru y the Heros of America, Canada, and Australia. In love, Lena.

A good and informative site. Dont forget brothers, Australians were there too, many gave their lives and many came home with illnesses only known to themselves. Unfortunately, like the Canadian Vietnam Vet, not too many people know we were their. Ken
