PRESIDENTAL SEX (republican view) by Sara Eberhard

What have we become as a nation? Our esteemed leader is drowning amongst a sea of scandal. The Clinton Administration is faltering under the weight of presidential follies. As I watch television interviews, news reports, and surveys, I notice that American Society has no idea what’s going on.

The fact is this: Our president may have committed the act of perjury and obstruction of justice. These are Federal Offenses. Yet, I watch, and many citizens of this great nation are saying, "It’s a personal matter. We should leave him alone to do his job." These are not personal matters! These are federal offenses! If one commits such a crime, the penalty is jail, fines, or other penalties. The American public is blind to the fact that their leader has committed an unconstitutional act.

My question is this: When are you going to wake up, America? You elected someone you knew was a snake in the grass, and you allowed it, even condoned it. Now you are all shocked when these acts come to light! If you wanted to elect someone with morals, you should have elected someone with morals. Instead, you elected William Jefferson Clinton, who has more scandals behind him than a redneck has guns.

Let us not dwell on what a mockery Mr. Clinton has managed to make the United States to the world, but rather what we can learn from it. A) If you want morals, America, you have to elect them into office. B) Since many of you consider lawyers the bane of society, why do you keep electing them? Think about it.

Anyway, that’s it for me. I’m going to go contemplate what would have happened if Bob Dole got elected.
