| There is no record of those who might have served in the Mexican War, but when the great Civil War broke out in 1861, the following Penobscot men served in the many battles of that conflict. Spanish American War ( 1898 ) According to the Buerau of Veterans Services and the State of Maine Archives of Augusta, the names of no Penobscot men have been recorded.
