a photograph of you
from so many years ago
lets my love shine through
as my tears do flow
a memory of you
things that brought me joy
are out of place and scattered
as though they've been destroyed
a feeling in my heart
twisted and turned around
my lifes been torn apart
i still dont hear a sound
a love i'll always know
on the surface, still inside
im frozen like the snow
as my tears have dried,
a part of me i've lost
like a distant star
you, you were the cost
so now, its much to far
a heart has been broken
somewhere along the way
i think of you i choke
oh the dues ive paid,
a loss that haunts my mind
the past, way back when
the only future i can find,
is when we meet again.
