A child of God
reaches heavens gate,
taken so early
the age of just eight
taken with angels
taken so soon
watching the sky
touching the moon
leaving loved ones scared & alone
leaving this earth to return on home
Thanking the Lord
for the time spent together
leaving in peace
light as a feather
speaking in prayers
for all left behind
finding this world
so cruel and unkind
screaming inside
for a loss we shall grieve
wondering if it is our time to leave
A child of God,
an angel with wings
returns to the kingdom
and heavenly sings
"I have peace inside me"
"my spirit will live"
through all of eternity
for all that i give
A child of God,
memories in the night
is now surrounded
in Gods bright,white,light
A prayer for all loved ones
for all left behind
a tear,crying sadly
for the loss of a child.
A love felt forever
never to fear
may Christ always surround you
holding you dear
A child of God,
never alone
is now with his father
in his heavenly home
