BANK OF CHINA, Beijing, China— July 1997 to July 1999

  • In-house Lawyer in the Legal Department.  Dealt with investment banking related issues; counseled the bank in establishing its first mutual fund; drafted and reviewed financial and commercial contracts; represented the bank in litigation matters and provided litigation support to branches of the bank. 
  • In charge of the Legal Department's tasking force studying the legal aspects of E-commerce; served as counsel for the bank in establishing its online banking service.
  • Acted as member of Chinese Delegation to attend the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law conference (30th Session) on the preparation of a uniform law on assignments in receivables financing.
