A fairly old male Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Burrawang is mate to Jasalgay and both often act as advisors and confidantes to the Silver Herd.
They wander often, and could turn up anywhere in the National Park, sometimes even going all the way to Sawpit Creek to charm and steal scraps of food from the campers.

Born on the slopes of the Ramsheads, Burrawang is a wise and trustworthy boomer whose calm and gentle nature and knowledge of the age-old secrets of the bush make him a treasured ally of the wild brumbies of the Herd. He is loving and protective of his lifelong mate and their joeys, and gets along well with other 'roos, though he and Jasalgay are born wanderers and tend to travel by themselves, sometimes with some of their half-grown joeys, far and wide across the mountains, with no real set home. However, they
do have their favourite haunts, such as the Ingegoodbee.

Burrawang met his mate in Sawpit Creek campground, when they were both much younger. They have never parted since, and share the load of raising their joeys once they leave the pouch.
Burrawang's grey coat is tinged with brown, and his face is long and serious but kind, his dark eyes tender and seeming to hint at secrets beyond the ken of brumbies, and he blends with the bush so well as to be nearly invisible when he wishes to be, like all of his kind. He is part of the bush in a way even the Silver Herd could envy, as the kangaroos have been part of their land since the Dreaming, and this ancient wisdom courses through his bones, skin and fur, as instinct and genetic memory.

Burrawang is quite a large buck, but not abnormally so, standing at 1.5m at full height and weighing 60kg with good solid bone and strong, lean muscles.
But he is by no means brutish or ungainly. He moves with silence and grace.

It is unknown just exactly how old he is, but he thinks he could be even older than Barega, and knows his mate is slightly older still.
Burrawang is (c) to himself and played by penni creep, who 'found' him
Burrawang says 'please take a look - its free and helps other animals like me!'
