About Me and Thank Yous
Hi! I'm Amy. It's nice to meet you. Actually, I'm tickled to death that you were curious about the woman behind this site; I wasn't sure if you guys wanted to know or not. Well, basically, I'm a 25-year-old English teacher from North Carolina. I have red hair, and blue-green eyes. If you ask my friends, they'll tell you I'm always happy, which is true 95% of the time.
You're probably wondering why I made this site, right? Well, after I saw Moulin Rouge the first time, I couldn't get it or it's handsome male star, Ewan McGregor, out of my head. I started surfing the 'net, looking for sites based on the movie and the actor. I found several devoted to the movie, but it wasn't enough. Finally, I chose to make a site that focused on the character of Christian...and included a fun idea called Christian clones. Eventually, I started adding Ewan things and before long, it was a Ewan/Christian site with fan fiction included.
Yeah, it took Moulin Rouge to turn me into a Ewan McGregor fan, but I had seen him before. I remember watching his ER episode when it first aired and thinking, "Wow! He's a cutie." Four years later, I'm hooked.:D
No matter what anyone tells you, no site is made by one person alone. It takes a lot of generous people helping that site mistress to make it. This is the spot where I'm going to acknowledge those lovely women who helped me.
Kasey, Heather, and Peggy -- I know you're not fans, but thank you for taking me to Moulin Rouge the first time. You have to admit; it was a good movie.
Cleo, Susan, Zigs, and Tracy -- It's like we're the five musketeers (or Ewanateers). It's been so great to find an incredible group of writers and buddies who love Ewan as much as I do. You guys rock!
