At a garage sale, he saw a wrench and a trampoline for sale. But he only had a five dollar bill and couldn't decide which to buy. He negotiated with the seller and managed to get them both for the money he offered. He tied the trampoline to the roof of his car and carried the wrench in his pocket. Driving home, he had to stop abruptly, slamming on his breaks when a car sped through the intersection ahead of him. The trampoline went sliding off the top of his car and into the roadway. He got out of the car and retrieved his trampoline.

Just as he started back to his car, a police chasing the other car sped through the intersection and hit him, sending him soaring into the air. He landed on the trampoline and bounced high. He landed on the signal light. The policeman got out of the patrol car and stood looking up at the man on the signal light. The wrench fell from the man's pocket, landed on the policeman's head and killed the policeman instantly. Next day, the news report was.......Life wrenched from policeman caused by man who was high.
