God, it's been a while since I've talked to you. But, my son tells me that you will listen to what I say because you still love me. Well, I'm not so sure I believe everything that he does, but I am sure that there is a higher power, so I will call you God.

I've seen a lot of things in my life that made me think You weren't there, or that You didn't care. My son says that's not true. So, if you are there, God, and You are hearing me, give me a sign, a signal, some way I can be sure of Your presence.

Now, God, my son says that you are the same, yesterday, today, and forever, and that your promises to us are real and still available. He told me that Jesus is real, and alive, and wants me to ask Him into my heart. Well, God, I'm not sure how that works, but here goes, "Jesus, come into my heart. I want to know you at least as much as my son does. Please let me know you are real and alive. Amen."

God, my son says that with this simple prayer that you have translated me from the kingdom of darkness into your heavenly kingdom. He also told me that physical healing is a part and parcel of this heavenly kingdom. Well, if that is true, God, then let your healing power heal me from the diseases in my body, right now, in the name of Jesus. And, I thank you for that. God, let me feel love from you. Let your presence be so real that I can't help but believe. Give me certainty that I won't be fooled by wrong beliefs. There is so much trickery done in your name, I refuse to be fooled.

And God, I'm sorry for the wrong things I've done in my life, and I ask you to forgive me, and let me know that I am forgiven. I thank you, God, for listening to me today, and hope that this has not all been in vain. Amen.
