OLD PHOTOGRAPHS
 Tom ([email protected])
Old photographs lay strewn across the table,
along with a photo album and a magnifying glass.
For they had been thinking of the past,
Thinking of how things were many years ago.
There it was their first new car,
And then when they brought Bobby home,
His first steps, and birthday too,
Oh that was some chocolate cake.
Their first house, one of a jillion in that track,
Two bedrooms, one bath, but their own abode.
And then the brick house came,
As things seemed to go their way.
Four more children, and lots of work,
Then Billy was lost in the wreck.
And Carol Sue was married and gone,
The rest did spread out for families to have,
And here we are in ought two,
Just old, shaky, and near broken, me and you.
But we have our love, you see,
Our undying love from me to you.
And I think as that pile of snaps I see,
What a life we two have had.
What a love we two have shared.
And hopefully we may share more in eternity
