A LOVE POEM FOR WAYNE
 Mickey ([email protected])
To love a perfect person would be simple I am sure
But perfect people don't abound, most of us aren't pure
To love someone whose faults are clear does not take holy grace
If we can look beyond veneer and see our own true face
For none of use have beauty unmarred by mortal sin
Yet most of us have virtues that have been instilled within
So if I have a prayer to say then let it be as thus:
Love me in spite of faults and not because or plus
And I shall love you as you are and not because I'm blind
But that I see behind your mask a goodness hard to find
Please peer beneath my outer shell and look upon my soul
Perhaps you'll see a better self. A part worthy to hold.
