She awoke, threw back the curtains, and greeted the new October morn. Her thoughts were on the new season, a new beginning, a new reason.
Summer had worn her down as she had watched the families along the beaches and parks.
Her heart was broken as she watched the lovers stroll in the dark.
Life was so unfair in September she cried. Maybe October would freshen the heart that had then died.
It was a year now, she thought to herself, and perhaps time to move on. For in September she had lost all that she loved.
Perhaps October would bring faith from above.
"Please Father", she screamed to the sky. "Give me peace and acceptance".
"Touch my heart. Don't let it also die".
