This is a good question. The Good Old days, before traffic jams, smog, school shootings,too much televison garbage. But people died younger. More deaths at birth. Houses weren't warmed in winter and cooled in summer. Sometimes I wonder though, when I see my health starting to deteriorate, and I see my parents in nursing care and in very bad straits, if it really is a good thing to live longer. Our world is over-populated. But I do appreciate being able to go to the store in a nice car and getting there within a few moments, instead of hours. I do appreciate an automatic washer that does our clothes, and a good stove. But most of all I like the indoor plumbing we have now. So Yes, there were good things about the old days, and there are good things about now-a-days. Which is better? I cannot say.
