SONGS OF DESTINY
 Angelia ([email protected])
She was a flash of life and light
With rounded breast and thigh,
A startling mist of color bright,
Pure jewels to my eyes.
She was the glimpse of miracles,
That sang in memory,
Of life in summer's lush verdure,
And songs of destiny.
Would I forget? How could I dare,
Forget the love she bore,
When she looked into my eyes
And whispered "Je t'adore"?
Oh, 'twas rare the tray she gave,
And rare the song she sang,
And rare the fruits she offered me,
And far too rare the change.
I wish that I had always been,
The man she saw in me,
And that to live within her love,
Had been my destiny.
But I will hold the love she brings
And I will taste her fruit,
And live what life I have with her,
In simpleness and truth.
