TO TOUCH THE SOUL
 Angelia ([email protected])
Intently crying out for honesty,
She searched the darkened hallways of her soul;
Is there no one to meet her searchings,
No one who dares the answers to unfold?
She sensed the coming end of journeys,
The approaching end of time was drawing near,
Is there no one who dares the truth to lavish,
On her barren path of life of dust so sere?
Love she found and lavished herself on it,
And grace she found to meet the burning fires,
And yet the one thing that she wanted,
Seemed locked away, Exiled in truth's empire.
To touch the soul of just one human being;
To halt the hypocrisy of lies,
To share an honest understanding,
With he who fed her longing and her sighs.
Oh Man, why must you hide in darkness?
Why lock yourself in cold cells made of stone?
When Life is offering now it's greatest treasure,
The chance for just one hour spent not alone?
If I should live a thousand years,
And search the world's wide avenues again,
Would I e'er find the one with wisdom,
Enough to cast away his fear of pain?
See there the small hand reaching, open,
Inviting you to taste life in it's truth,
Will you have what it takes in courage,
Or shall she die without Love's sweetest proof?
I am not one to wish on other's sorrow,
I care too much how deep my footprints fall,
But to share with you my soul's truth on the morrow,
I have here offered you my All.
