FREE KITTENS

I saw an ad in the paper and called on the phone
then rushed right over to the owners home
Free kittens were advertised and I needed one
to bring it to my house for lots of great fun.
When I got there the kittens were all over the place
each one trying to outdo the others in race
the choice was difficult as it could be
but the choice wasn't mine as one chose me.
He climbed on my lap and up to my face
as if to ask me to bring him home to my place.
So I picked up my kitten and he was mine to keep
and that night at the foot of my bed did he sleep.
