D walked out of the elevator trying to juggle all of her bags. One dropped onto the floor in front of her and she tripped over it.

"Damn it!! That’ll teach me to buy this much shit again!!" She laughed as she maneuvered everything and picked up the bag from the floor.

D stopped in front of her door and looked at it, down to her arms that were loaded with bags, then back up to the door.

"Now what the hell am I gonna do?? I don’t have any extra hands to get the key in the door," she said to herself.

She sighed and plunked all the bags down. She fished the key out of her purse and opened the door quietly. She didn’t want to wake Dawn if she fell asleep on the couch watching television. She knew Dawn hadn’t been feeling too well lately.

When she opened the door she got the shock of her life. Dawn and Noah were kissing on the couch. She just stood there staring, not believing the site before her. Because of the setup and size of the room, she was able to go unnoticed by them. She backed out slowly and quietly shut the door. She leaned against it and slid to the floor. She was in total shock.

‘How could she do that? How could she cheat on J like that? It’s bad enough she slept with Noah, but she was drunk out of her mind then, she’s doing this completely sober!’

D closed her eyes and pulled her legs up. She rested her head on her knees and began to cry. She wasn’t exactly sure why, she just felt her heart breaking for some reason. She had always thought AJ and Dawn were perfect together and would end up happily married. Now this….

She looked up when she heard the elevator doors ding. She saw Samantha, one of Dawn’s dancers, coming down the hall. She wiped her eyes and stood up quickly. Samantha waved and approached her.

"Hey D, what’s going on?"

"Oh, I locked myself out and Dawn’s not in," D lied. "Would you mind if I stayed in your room until she gets back?"

"No problem," Samantha smiled and grabbed some bags.

"Thanks."

They walked down the hall to Samantha’s room. D looked over her shoulder and hoped that Dawn knew what she was doing…..

Dawn and Noah’s kisses grew more and more passionate. Noah pulled her closer and kissed her neck. Dawn leaned her head back and moaned softly.

"Oh Dawn, you taste so good," Noah whispered against her neck.

His voiced snapped her back into reality. ‘What the hell am I doing?’ She thought to herself.

"Noah…wait…stop!"

Noah looked at her. His breathing was heavy and she could see the lust in his eyes.

"We can’t do this," she said, getting up off the couch.

She walked over to the window. She watched the rain make streaks on the window. Noah got up and walked over to her.

"Dawn, it’s okay."

She turned around and he could see the tears in her eyes.

"How can you say that? I just kissed you! I’m not supposed to kiss you!"

"Dawn, this has been building up for a long time now. I’ve wanted this since I met you. I’ve been fighting it but I can’t any longer."

"Noah, please…don’t," she begged, backing away from him.

"That kiss meant something. You feel it too. You just have to admit it to yourself."

"This can’t happen, Noah. I’m engaged. I love Alex!"

The moment she said his name the letter came flooding back to her. He betrayed her. She was sure of it.

"Please, Dawn. Don’t do this. Let it happen," Noah pleaded.

"I can’t deal with this right now. Please, just go."

She wanted to be alone. She had to think.

"Alright," he whispered, defeated. "But just remember, you kissed me. You want me just as much as I want you."

He turned and walked out the door. Dawn closed her eyes and let what he said sink in.

She was the one that kissed him. Why had she done that? Was she just mad at Alex or did she have feelings for Noah?

D was sitting on Samantha’s couch watching a movie. Well, a movie was on but she wasn’t watching it. She couldn’t stop thinking about that scene she witnessed between Dawn and Noah.

‘How could she have done that? Noah is such a slime and she loves J…..Oh my God, J!! What the hell do I do about J? Do I tell him? No, he will definitely kill him this time. I should talk to Dawn about it first and convince her to tell him. He has a right to know.’

D closed her eyes and tried not to cry. Samantha was lying on the bed watching the movie. She didn’t want her to see something was wrong.

"I guess we should go to the venue," Samantha said, switching off the television.

She looked over at D who looked to be asleep.

"D?"

"Huh?" She asked, opening her eyes.

"We should get going," she repeated.

"Oh, okay. Do you mind if I leave my stuff here?"

"Not at all. We can drop it off at your room if you want. Maybe Dawn is back now"

"No, that’s okay. Let’s just go."

She didn’t want to go to her room because she didn’t want to run into Dawn and Noah together. D grabbed her purse and the two girls headed down to the lobby.

A knock at the door broke Dawn of her thoughts. She went to the door and peeked through the peephole. It was Steve.

"Hey Steve, come on in," she said as she opened up the door.

"Hello. We need to get going to the venue soon," he said.

"Okay. I’ll be ready in a sec."

She went in to the bathroom and closed the door. She looked at herself in the mirror. She looked like shit. She felt like shit, too. How was she gonna go on stage tonight? She had so much on her mind, so much to deal with that she didn’t know how she was going to put on a good show.

‘Just put it out of your mind until after the show. That’s what you have to do.’

She splashed some water on her face and walked out.

"Have you seen D?" Dawn asked Steve on the way to the elevator.

"I saw her walking to the elevators with Samantha right before I came to get you. She was on her way down to the van."

Dawn nodded and got onto the elevator. When they got to the lobby there were a few fans waiting. Dawn signed some autographs for posed for some pix. That was the part of the job she loved…the fans. At least the ones that were calm and didn’t try to maul her.

She waved goodbye to them and headed out to the van. When she got in she saw D sitting in the back looking out the window. She sat down in the seat in front of her as the van pulled away.

"Hey D, how was shopping?" D looked at her.

She wanted to slap her for kissing Noah.

"It was fine."

"Didn’t you buy anything? That’s not like you," she said, laughing.

‘I can’t believe she’s laughing. She just kissed Noah…and God knows what else,’ she thought to herself.

"I bought a bunch of stuff actually."

"You never came back to the room. Where is it all?" Dawn asked, confused.

"I left it in Samantha’s room. I didn’t want to disturb you," she said, hoping she’d get the hint. She looked out the window as the van stopped at a red light.

"Disturb me? You wouldn’t have…"

Dawn’s voice trailed off as she turned her attention to the semi truck approaching them from behind. She noticed that it was getting closer to them and seemed to be going too fast to slow down.

"OH MY GOD!!" Dawn screamed right before the truck crashed into them.
