Blue Island, IL

5 Cup starts (1951)
Best Finish: 11th @ Jacksonville (11/4/51)
Eddie Anderson was a popular midget racer out of the Chicago area.  He took a brief shot at NASCAR in 1951 driving Nash Ambassadors.  Anderson found little success in the infant series.  His first start came at Daytona on the beach course where he qualified 24th and finished in the 54th and final position.  He also made starts at Charlotte, Hillsboro, and Mobile early in the '51 season.  Anderson qualifed a solid 8th at Mobile, but front end problems took him out of the race.  Eddie made one final start in NASCAR at Speedway Park in Jacksonville, FL in November.  He drove Harold Nelson's Nash to an 11th place finish, his best in a NASCAR vehicle.  Anderson returned to the Mid West where he spent the rest of his career competing at tracks like Raceway Park, Kankakee Fairgrounds, and Gill Stadium.
