![]() Watch this site for more information on PHFH activities to come: a Run for Habitat and a Softball Tournament in June, and the Wendy Walk for Habitat on October 6 to benefit PHFH and the South Hampton Roads HFH. The Americorps*VISTAs are doing an outstanding job for us in James City. The last house they completed required NO-ZERO-ZIP-NADA reinspections. Thanks for another great job. Please call us if your church or group needs a speaker-we love to talk about Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. We have completed 57 homes providing safe decent affordable homes for nearly 200 persons in the area. Thanks to all who made this possible. Be sure to visit our booth at the PHBA Home & Garden Show at the Hampton Coliseum March 17 & 18, 2001. |
To volunteer, please call during regular office hours-9:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Most construction takes place Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Other volunteer opportunities occur at a variety of times. The office number is 757-596-5553. Home ownership applications are available and accepted the last two weeks in February and August. If you or someone you know is in need of decent, affordable housing, please call our office for more information. Help us eliminate substandard housing in our community! It's quick, easy and safe to support the house-building, hope-building work of Peninsula HFH through Habitat for Humanity International's secure online donation system. You can even send a gift card announcing your donation in honor of a loved one or a special occasion. The Habitat for Humanity International web site contains more information on Habitat's history, mission, volunteer opportunities and contact information for other Habitat affiliates around the world. |
