Taken at the trainer's place

Midnightvalley Sweet William is trained to ride, green-broke to drive and has been ridden side-saddle. He is a personable, intelligent pony who loves to jump and has athleticism to spare. His riding training includes 60 days professional training. He is well mannered on the trails and will go out alone or with other horses. Has no problems with mud, tough terrain and loves the water. When it comes to trail riding, he'll often forge through anything and he can be a great lead pony.

At Winton Woods Riding Center

William has scored into the 70’s in training level dressage and consistently places in the ribbons on the flat and over fences. Has free jumped 4’3” and jumped 3’ under saddle. We've showed mostly at local shows to start so as not to intimidate him too much. He has done demonstrations at both Equine Affaire and the Kentucky Horse Park, both of which he handled well. His show record is as follows, all of which took place in 2004:

Hanging out after winning Grand Champion

::3rd (58%), Paxton Winter Series, Walk/Trot Test A

::1st English Equitation / 2nd English Pleasure, Reserve Grand Chamption for that division, Winton Woods Riding Center
::1st overall - Old Stone Riding Center Mini Trials, 18 " (out of 18 or so horses, it was his first trials)
::1st Hunter Hack, 3rd Hunter O/F, 5th Hunter Suitibility; Winton Woods Riding Center
::1st Training 1 (75%), 2nd Training 2 (64%), Grand Champion for Senior Training Level Division, Tydden-Du Schooling

Giving rides around the farmHe has a beautiful trot and has no problem keeping up with the big guys. His movement is not too ponyish and he has always gotten good marks and comments for it (one judge though he was an Andalusion once). When he really wants to go, he has powerhouse movement both front and behind. William is very level-headed but can be forward thinking at times and needs a confident rider. He has given pony rides to several inexperienced adults without any problem, but will take advantage of a beginner, over time, if allowed. He has beautiful jumping style and has always really enjoyed it. William would be best suited to a jumping or driving home, but a good home is a must! For the past two years William has been my life but I must sell him due to school and work. I can't give him the consistency he needs and can't stand to see him waste away in a field. He needs more work and attention then I have right now, or will have for awhile.

After being under saddle for 2 years

Before I owned William, he had a string of bad experiences. He has recovered well and regained confidence in people, but that trust needs to be maintained. He has no bad habits and stands well for the farrier, vet and hauls wonderfully.My primary concern is to match him with a home that he will thrive in and be happy. Serious inquiries only, please. I would be willing to do a payment plan or work with the right home.

Asking $10,000 currently but William will be sent to training soon and the price may change.
