Chocolate Cake Express


 

 

METHOD

 

1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius (Gas Mark 5)

2. Grease and line an 8" cake tin

3. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, bicarbonate of Soda and salt

4. Make a well in the center and add vanilla essence, vinegar and oil, then gradually stir in the water

5. Continue stirring until thouroughly blended, but do not overmix

6. Pour batter into cake tin and bake for 35 - 40 minutes

7. Cool in tin for 10 minutes then remove from tin and allow to cool completely

8. Sift icing sugar over top and serve.
