| NO TO I.D. when is an 'Australia' card not an Australia card? When it's an 'Access' card. about the proposed 'access' card, and how to oppose it. SEDITIONCHARTER.ORG meeting every Wednesday (various locations) THE MISSING INGREDIENT - YOU!! - INVITATION - JOIN US WEDNESDAY 11.30am - 1.00pm 22nd NOVEMBER 2006 Outside County Court of Victoria 250 William Street, Melbourne On the 22nd of November 2006, seditioncharter.org will be prosecuting the Commonwealth of Australia in a moot court which will be held on the forecourt and footpath outside the County Court of Victoria at 250 William Street, Melbourne about whether any of the Articles, (Article 1-30) contained in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, have been intentionally disregarded or violated by the Howard led Coalition government. The moot court case will raise a number of important questions about a number of fundamental rights and liberties that have been legislated away by the Coalition government and a pliant Opposition during the past decade. Conducting the moot trial on the forecourt and footpath outside the County Court of Victoria will also openly challenge the power a private corporation running a public institution is able to exercise over citizens. The Victorian County Court building is owned by a private corporation which leases the courts to the Victorian State government and any other group that is able to afford the cost of a room - except seditioncharter.org who were refused a room because we are a political group. To further complicate the issue, this private corporation claims to own the forecourt which is open space that abuts on a public footpath and refuses to let citizens gather in this space because it is deemed to be private property. Holding the moot court outside the County Court, directly challenges the commonwealth sedition laws and all the other pieces of Commonwealth legislation that have passed through Federal parliament over the past decade that have stripped citizens of fundamental rights and liberties citizens have enjoyed in Australia for decades. It also challenges the power private corporations who are involved in partnerships with public institutions are able to exercise over citizens. The most important missing ingredient in this attempt to regain fundamental rights and liberties is - YOU - join us at 11.30am on Wednesday 22nd November 2006 outside the County Court at 250 William Street, Melbourne and join the struggle to regain our fundamental human rights - you have nothing to fear but fear itself. If you cannot make it on the day, think about signing the sedition charter. seditioncharter.org DIRECT DEMOCRACY NOT PARLIAMENTARY RULE BUILD an alternative to the fossilised parliamentary system. Stop giving a signed blank cheque to politicians to make decisions on your behalf. UNION SOLIDARITY (southeastern group) it is, in these troubling times necessary for all opposers of the draconian Howard 'trifecta' to stick together, regardless of political differences. These legislations are an act of criminality against all workers and political dissenters, and are designed to repress (by force if necessary) any form of collective resistance. Howard wants the class war? He's got it!
