Art
Emil Nolde- "The Prophet"
In case you hadn't noticed, I have a thing for art, sepcifically German Expressionist art. I think it's just because their is so much emotion in the pieces themselves and the fact that the emotion at times seems to jump right at you. It makes you look at it, like the morbid curiosity of having to glimpse at a car crash as you drive by. Expressionism is so raw and blunt that it represents itself as if it can not be anything but what it is, and it is one persons truth.

You can argue the aesthetics until you're blue in the face but to me content trumps form for the purposes of art 9 times out of ten. If it I can feel what the person wants me to feel or derive some personal emotion from seeing or even hearing a piece, then I believe the artist has done their job.
