I will attempt to help you get through this amazing game, but I cannot promise I found every secret item and weapon along the way. You will be able to beat the last boss using this walkthrough though. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ OPENING AREA OF THE GAME ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Apparently it's called the Altar Cave or something, although I don't really remember too well. Your heroes will walk automatically into the first fight of the game. You are all Onion Kids and have no items to use, so pretty much attack the enemies until they die. The number of enemies you fight seems to be pretty random, as I fought two on my first run through and five this time. It's not a challenging battle at all no matter what, so don't worry. After this fight, you'll be able to control the party members now. Head north and pick up a POTION and LEATHER SHIELD (give it to one of the four party members), before heading up and a party member will mention the rock being strange. Might as well touch it.. and just like magic, the previously blocked off path opens! Wow! A second LEATHER SHIELD awaits you, so pick it up and then head through to the next area. Here, it's a bit of a maze but nothing really hard at all. The path to the left has a SOUTH WIND item, which will help tremendously here in a minute, so make sure to get it. The path to the right has a POTION, then go back and up to the top for another POTION. Go right for a healing spring and a final SOUTH WIND item. Feel free to level up if you want for a bit, due to the free healing, but I would wait until you got outside. After picking up the second South Wind, so all the way left and north through the door to get into the crystal room. You will be surrounded by four evil circles, and the first boss fight of the game will be triggered. ***************************************** BOSS FIGHT - Land Turtle ***************************************** Well, my translation calls him "LandTurtl" due to the lack of space available, which is pretty funny. And dig that boss theme, how kick ass is that! I am humming it right now as I type this. He's pretty easy if you found the two South Wind items I told you to get. Use them to deal a significant amount of damage to him, then finish him off with a few regular attacks. It should not take more than six turns to kill him. If you want to save your South Winds, just keep attacking him and heal the injured people as needed. He's not hard at all. After this, you'll read some text and the game's intro will begin. You'll wake up in the overworld and will now have the ability to change jobs. Don't forget that changing a job cost CP (Capacity Points), so choose wisely. I used a Fighter/Monk/Red Mage/Black Mage combination, but the possibilities are pretty wide open right now. I also leveled up for a bit in the overworld, before going to the town which is directly south of where you start.
