Stage Sheet
--
School name: Prison High

Description:
You and other participants start off in the usual school area (that all
stages have anyway), and enter the first section. This first section is
basically running up the non-spiralish stairs to the top floor. There's
nothing special here, even though it's possible that you hit your opponent
off the stairs, making him/her having to tread back to the bottom of the
stairs and run up again, wasting their stamina a bit. At the end of the
stairs, there's a door. The first character to reach the door will open
it, and run in while others just enter the door into the building.
Welcome to the 4th floor of Prison High's...prison! Uhh dorm. Or whatever.
Basically, you run down every floor with basically the same layout, with
prison cells in the back. Each floor spans about 2 screens long. So we
aren't going to reiterate this for four times, that's boring. Anyway, the
first section is basically nothing but a few security guards, usually
with Mag-Lites with them. This section also has various weapons and items
up for grabs, and some are thrown out from the inmates living inside
their cells...err dorm rooms. Then, you walk down the stairs at the edge
of this stage, to the third floor (yeah, there's no elevators).
In the third floor, you start off from the right side instead of the left
side, from the stairs. If you're the first guy reaching the third floor,
you can see a security guard that's sleeping at the entrance. There's a
button behind him, and he'll accidentally press the button, setting off
the alarm for the prison. If you've seen enough movies, then you can see
that...yup, all the inmates are freed! And most of them are really pissed
at you and other participants for some reason. And the security guards
are onto you either, even though it's not your fault! This section is
basically, a mess. Aside from the security guards that are present in the
last section, this section also contains street thugs, all three types of
Mimes, Punk Rockers, a few Asylum Maniacs, and a few BS:FM fanatics (this
means having around 40 enemies running at you). Having a combination of
all these = total chaos. You're bound to get hit pretty hard here.
(Un)Fortunately, most of them hold a weapon, and you can get it from them
after you KO these guys. Run to the end of the section, and walk down the
stairs again.
Welcome to the second floor, where chaos was reigning ALREADY. This time
you walk from the left to the right, by the way. Anyhow, all the enemies
mentioned in the last section are still around, but this time also with
the addition (!!) of a few Disgruntled Farmer, and a good number of Senile
Old Women added for good measure. This means that there'll be around 50
enemies going at you and your fellow participants! It's best that you
start collaborating with a few other runners. As per usual, the weapon
drop rate is exceedingly high. And to make the matters even worse, there's
not even an item to be found here! It's a big mess, and it's the survival
of the fittest! Now you better run the hell away from the stage, the exit
is to your right.
And here's the ground floor, where the mess from the second floor is still
around, but this time with you guessed it, more enemies. Policeman enters
the scene, in an attempt to stop the inmates from breaking through. Well
they wound also mistake you as inmates as well, so don't be surprised if
they attack you! These Policemen do not drop anything since we do not
support the use of guns. This section is probably the most chaotic of all
places, but here's a good thing: The drop rate for items is insane. Grab
your favorite item and run to the exit, located to your left!
Now you're outside the priso...err dorm right? Well technically yes, but
the mob starts running out of the dorm's exit and invades the streets!
You can't escape! ...The mob, that is. They'll start running with you -
some will also attack with you on the way, but you're now basically
running with a mob. Umm anyway, you exit from the dorm's exit, which is
on the left side of the screen, but facing right. Make a U-turn, and
run parallel to the building. Note that there's still some guys inside
the dorm, and will throw random stuff out from their windows, like toilet
bowls, chairs, tables, refridgerators, and even a full desk! Err...okay.
But since you're running along with a crowd, it's actually quite likely
that one of the mob members will get hit, instead of you. So it's
relatively safe. At the end of this section, you're in the streets!
There's nothing really special in the streets - basically C&Ped from City
High's stage. There's a row of ground-level shops in the background, all
of these you aren't able to enter. There's also a guardrail in front of
the walkway. You and the mob are running on the road (you can run on the
walkway too, but it's not recommended...see below). On the walkway there's
a few street thugs hanging out, and they would be more than pleased to
gang up on one person (unlike the street thugs on other sections or
stages). This section is pretty long, and it goes to the finish line. Very
straightforward section, very basic. That is, until halfway through. The
army decided to join into the action, helped by policemen and security
guards. Paratroopers start dropping down from the sky, and they'll shoot
their machine guns at random directions upon landing (yay violence!). And
the Rocket Launchers decided to join the fun as well, from the back of
the screen. Explosions will occur everywhere, machine guns and Mag-Lites
hitting everybody. But the mob wouldn't stop, they wanna run like you!
So the army decides to throw in the granddaddy of them all (no, not a nuke
since it'll wipe out the whole stage), a tank! The tank will start rolling
at the back at 3/4ths of the section, and it will start shooting ammo at
the mob regardless of what you think. Even though it has to stop while
shooting, it will magically catch up to the crowd, only to stop and shoot
at the crowd again. It's pure survival guys. You can't fight the tank.
And at the end of this messed-up section is the finish line. Congrats!
You've passed one of the most straightforward stages that's also the
messiest.

Enemies found: Street Thug, Tank, Security Guard, Mime A/B/C, Senile Old
Woman, Punk Rocker, Asylum Maniac, BS:FM Fanatic, Disgruntled Farmer,
Paratrooper, Rocket Launcher, Policeman.
Weapons found: All
Items found: All
Traps found: Stuff-throwing windows outside the prison.

Strategy/Comments: If Gangster High is pure fighting, this is...a mess.
This is instant hell for the runner types, since they'll feel the brunt
of the damage first (the inmates are released once the first-placed runner
reaches third floor). Like Gangster High, jumping is almost useless here,
since you're bound to get hit somehow whether you are jumping or not.
Aside from dumping 40+ enemies at you at almost each section, this is a
very straightforward stage and it doesn't even have any branches to speak
of. It's more likely that the last one standing will actually be the
winner, since most of them will get KOed before reaching the finish line.
Overall I think this stage is too straightforward, and can get boring
quickly if it weren't for the number of enemies dumped on the runners.
Actually, this was the original design, the only slight hiccup I have is
implementing more enemies and scraping off an enemy named Police Car.
