Stage Sheet

School name: Kings High

Description: At the start, you will find yourself in the school, just
like others. However, this section seems to be much longer compared to
others, which is a bummer for the warring types.
The next map is kinda special. Once you enter this map an official will
give you a card, either A or B. Everybody must get one of these, it's
kind of like a must-do. Or something like that. Once you got your card,
your character will automatically go to the designated route. A is the
highest route, with the lowest one being B.
-
ALTERNATE ROUTE A: Route A will lead to the backdoor of some really tall
building. You'll find a staircase and an elevator. Here's where it gets
interesting, you either choose to run up 20 flights of stairs, or get in
the elevator and wait for 20 floors. Most will choose the latter, right?
Well for the stairs part, it might be exhausting (like a real marathon!)
but it's better for the non-fighting types since it has no enemies at
all! You will reach the top of the building eventually. Note that you
*can* fall off the stairs, but you won't fall down to the ground floor,
instead you will magically appear from where you fell off. There is no
limit on how many runners can take up the stairs.
As for the elevator, it is quite different as you only have an area that
only takes up one screen. Unlike the stairs, only 3 people can enter the
elevator. The fun begins when the elevator starts moving, when random
enemies fall down from the top of the elevator (and yes, they are really
random, there's even a 1 in 1000 chance a tank will fall down). It's all
about surviving here (and may you be protected by your god when a tank
falls down). When it reaches the 20th story, all the enemies will kinda
magically die for some reason! Your character (and other runners) will
exit the elevator automatically.
At the top of the building, you will have to do the Matrix thingy by
jumping from this building's roof to another. Thankfully, the distance
isn't as huge as the one in the first Matrix movie, where anybody with a
** jump rating can make it (* ones can barely make it). To make it
slightly more fun, on the other building there are some street thugs who
are more than willing to push you down into the hole. To counter this,
jump with an attack and you *should* be safe. If you happen to fall down,
please refer to route B (after taking about half of your current life).
For those who succeed, you can take the elevator located at the end of
the stage. The elevator will head down.
Oh, the elevator! This is basically the same as the previous one, but it
actually stops on some floors, where street thugs will enter. Experience
the annoyance of having an elevator which stops randomly on random
floors! Once you get to the ground floor, you and other runners will exit
automatically.
-
ALTERNATE ROUTE B: Well route B is considered the less vexing one, but
it is still kinda hard. You now enter a main road in the city, where the
BS:FM fanatics AND Security Guards are coming at you at the same time.
This is a really mean combo as the BS:FM fanatics will run at you and
stall your time, while the Security guards will start bashing you with
their sticks. After finishing the initial crowd, you can start running
forward without much trouble, so you can enter the next screen.
In the next screen you'll find some people cheering you on in the
background, but some will throw weapons at you as well! This is also the
part where the failed jumpers from route A will fall. A few street thugs
will come and stall your progress, but chances are, they are going to
be your meatshield since they can also get hit by the weapons as well. Go
through this map to reach the reuniting point!
-
In this final stretch you'll find little to nothing in here, aside from
being in the streets. When you run further, you'll find some Senile Old
Woman being beat up by the street thugs, but then they all turn to you
and try to beat you up! Ah well. After getting them away from the stage,
walk into the next map. There will be a short stretch to the finish, so
it's all good!

Enemies found: Street thug, Senile Old Woman, BS:FM Fanatic, Security
Guard, random enemies (in elevator)
Weapons found: All
Items found: Nil
Traps found: Nil

Strategy/Comments: A straightforward stage that really depends on your
luck. If you got B, then you got the easier route, but it's not very
easy though. A is the harder one, and it takes off more of your stamina,
but it's kinda fun at the same time. I don't know what to make of this,
really. =P
