Special move #1
Move name: Old Maid
What it does: Activation of the Old Maid causes a ring of transparent tarot cards to appear around each participant on the field. The rings rotate around the characters for a moment and then sink into them.
Damage: ****
Speed: N/A
Range: **
Notes/Strategy: Old Maid affects all characters on the field, including Apathy. When this special is utilized a randomly selected special of a randomly selected character is designated as the Old Maid. There are no indicators as to what character is selected or what special is affected. If the affected character tries to use the special designated as the Old Maid, then they are engulfed in a moderately sized burst of black flames. The flames cause the character considerable damage and can hit any other participants who are in close proximity when the flame burst occurs. There is no warning of the burst and the affected character has no opportunity to block the attack. The Old Maid designation remains in effect until the affected character uses the special in question or Apathy reactivates the Old Maid special (at which point another character/special is randomly selected).

Special move #2
Move name: Polarity Mine
What it does: This special causes two beams of light to shoot out of Apathys body in opposite directions one beam is white, the other black. If both beams connect with characters, then the two characters will adopt the color of their respective beam and be drawn into each other. When the two characters touch, the convergence of the opposing energies causes a huge explosion.
Damage: *****
Speed: *
Range: **
Notes/Strategy: The two beams used in this attack are always parallel and require Apathy to place himself between two relatively positioned opponents in order for a connection to be made. Players utilizing this attack select the orientation of the beams by tapping a direction on the right analog stick as the attack initiates (the white beam travels in the direction selected, the black beam in the opposite direction). The beams fire quickly, cant be blocked, and travel a moderate distance.

If the beams each hit a character then they separate from Apathys body and form a single connecting beam between the affected characters. Once connected, the two characters will be drawn towards each other for a period of 7 seconds. Affected characters can resist the draw by running in the opposite direction; character with better speed rankings will have greater success in resisting. The draw is best resisted if both characters are running in opposite directions (i.e. up and down); if both players are resisting in the same direction they will come together much more easily. Affected characters can be knocked toward their opposite if they are hit during their resistance (they stop running during the hit stun and are dragged back a bit).

If the affected characters come in contact with each other, they will become the heart of a large nuclear style explosion. The explosion covers less ground then the Old Maids flame blast but will affect any other players who are in the blast radius or who run into the mushroom cloud. Characters hit by the explosion take huge damage and are knocked to the ground.

Special move #3
Move name: Chronos Regressor
What it does: This special allows Apathy to reverse the flow of time and undo any damage he incurred during the reversed period
Effect: *****
Speed: *****
Duration: N/A
Range: *
Notes/Strategy: This special can only be used within five seconds of a successful attack against Apathy. Once activated, the Regressor causes Apathy to glow for a period of 7 seconds. During this period Apathy must touch the character that attacked him (via blocked/unblocked attack or just by running into them). If Apathy manages to connect with the character before time runs out then the course of 7 seconds of gameplay is reversed for Apathy alone. The reversal period starts from the point at which Apathy initiated the Chronos Regressor special. Any damage Apathy took or stamina he expended during this period is restored. However, any damage Apathy caused to opposing characters during this period is similarly undone. The reversal does not affect the current activity on the field it is merely displayed as a ghostlike image of the involved characters overlapping the playing field (with the characters resuming their original actions/positions as the record reverses).

If Apathy fails to touch the attacking character during the designated period then he is frozen in place for a total of 3 seconds. During this period, Apathy is unable to defend himself and is totally vulnerable to attack. After using the Regressor, Apathy requires 20 seconds to regain his energies before he can attempt another.

Special move #4
Move name: Strange Bedfellows
What it does: This specials causes Apathy to enlist other BS:FM participants in a combo attack against another participant.
Damage: Varies (** to ****)
Speed: ***
Range: *
Notes/Strategy: This special requires Apathy to be facing his target and within range of a normal attack. When this attack is initialized any non-target characters within sweep distance of Apathys current position are dragged into the combo attack. Apathy can enlist up to three characters for each combination attack. When the attack commences, a quick series of mini-explosions engulfs each participant in turn and a line of the characters in-game portraits stacks up on the bottom left of the screen. As this occurs one of the enlisted characters launches a quick attack at the target as the other characters jump off the top of the screen. As the first characters hit connects, the remaining characters fall back on screen in turn and hit the target with flying attacks. Apathy himself lands the final hit, knocking the target to the ground a short distance away.

If the initial attack lands then the remaining hits will automatically combo. If the initial attack is blocked, the combo continues but can be blocked as normal. The final hit on a blocked combo will knock the blocking character back a bit, putting some distance between Apathy and the target. Characters involved in this attack (Apathy, enlisted characters, target) cant be hit by non-participating characters during the duration of the attack. Enlisted players resume control of their characters once the attack is complete.

The damage this attack deals depends on the number of characters involved in the combo. If two characters (Apathy + one other) are used, then the damage is **, three characters yield *** damage, and four characters results in **** damage. If Apathy uses this attack by himself (no characters within range or in a 1 on 1 match) then he will essentially assist himself as follows:

- 85% chance of 2 hit combo (initial strike by BS:FM Apathy Wind, final strike by ONF2: Apathy Wind)
- 10% chance of 3 hit combo (initial strike by BS:FM Apathy Wind, second strike by ONF2: Apathy Wind; final strike by ONF3: Apathy)
- 5% chance of 4 hit combo (initial strike by BS:FM Apathy Wind, second strike by ONF2: Apathy Wind, third strike by ONF3: Apathy, final strike by ONF4: Purge)

The other Apathys appear from the top of the screen and disappear upon hitting the target (with the exception of Purge, who shatters into a million pieces). The depictions for these characters is:

- ONF2 Apathy Wind (Ukyo styled swordsman with blue and gray hair)
- ONF3 Apathy (Thin male with wild hair and a untied straight jacket)
- ONF4 Purge (Young peasant girl made of crystal)

Character strategy: Lacking in strength and endurance, Apathy is best used in a strategic manner. Players are best served by avoiding direct confrontation and using the characters speed and specials to delay and confuse opponents. Apathys specials are very powerful but are also very difficult to use. Successfully utilization of these techniques requires careful planning and often a little bit of luck. As such, Apathy Wind is best in the hands of opportunistic players willing to take the odd risk.
