Backstory: Daughter of a very wealthy family, Parlays easy access to 
funds and excess of leisure time lead to an extreme obsession with 
gambling. Somewhat bored with taking the family jet to various casinos, 
Parlay decided to test the odds in the inter-school marathon contest.

Special move #1
Move name: Blackjack
What it does: Utilization of this move causes a pair of cards to appear 
beneath Parlay. The first card has a pair of letters in the left corner 
and number of stars on the face. The letters correspond to Parlays stats 
(At, De, Sp, St, Ju) and the number of stars is equal to the Parlays 
base stat for that category. As the first card pops up, a second randomly 
selected card pops up beside it. This second card modifies Parlays base 
statistic for a period of fifteen seconds. Each of Parlays five stats 
is assigned a random modifier in turn; the altered stats take effect 
once the series is complete. This move cannot be used again until the 
initial effect wears off.

Notes: The possible modifier cards and their chance of appearance are as

Special move #2
Move name: Roulette
What it does: Activation of this attack causes a roulette wheel to 
appear on the lower left corner of the screen. Instead of numbers, each 
wheel section has a picture of one of the marathon participants. When 
the roulette spin is complete the character whose slot the roulette ball 
settles into explodes. The explosion causes the target moderate damage 
and knocks them to the ground, causing them to lose a few moments in 
recovery time.

Notes: Every character involved in the current contest (Parlay included) 
has one slot on the wheel and initially has an equal chance of being hit. 
If a character is KOed his or her picture is replaced with the image of 
the character that KOed them. As such, the more characters a participant 
KOs; the greater the chance they will be hit with the Roulette. In 
addition to character slots, there are three additional slots on the 
wheel.
-     None (no one is hit)
-     All (everyone is hit)
-     MULTIBALL!!! (the cycle starts over, and three balls are released 
at once. The same character can be hit multiple times)

Once Roulette is begun, it takes a few seconds for the ball to settle. 
The attack will continue even if Parlay is KOed before its settled. 
Once the ball has landed the Roulette attack is instantaneous and cannot 
be avoided. Once used, the player must wait 20 second before being able 
to use this move again.

Special move #3
Move name: Straight Draw Poker (SDP)
What it does: Five card slots appear beneath Parlay. The slots are 
randomly filled by cards from the traditional 52 card poker deck. The 
result of this attack depends on the hand that Parlay receives. The 
potential results are as follows:

Special move #3a
Condition: Any hand containing the following four cards  1 3 3 7
Move name: Elite Defeat
What it does: The action on screen freezes for a second and the camera 
zooms in on the frozen Parlay. A small mushroom cloud bursts from 
Parlays current position  instantly KOing her. Other players in the 
vicinity of the nuke are unaffected.
Damage: Total
Speed: N/A
Range: N/A
Notes: The 1337 effect takes precedence over any other pairs or matched 
hands Parlay may have (i.e. a hand with a pair of 1s, a pair of 3s, 
and a 7 will yield the Elite Defeat result  not the two pair result)

Special move #3b
Condition: Any draw of unmatched cards without a face card (i.e. Jack, 
Queen, King, Ace)
Move name: I got nothing
What it does: Parlay is hit with a small explosion. The blast causes 
minor damage and knocks Parlay to the ground.

Notes: If other characters are overlapping Parlay when this attack 
occurs the explosion will also hit them.

What it does: Absolutely nothing.

Special move #3d
Condition: A hand with one pair
Move name: Stinger
What it does: Launches a seeker missile at the nearest opposing character.
Damage: **
Speed: ***
Range: *** (Long)
Notes: The Stinger will lock onto the nearest character and make a 
beeline towards him or her. If the missile hits it does minor damage and 
knocks them to the ground. The missile is only active for five seconds  
if it doesnt connect by that time it will explode where it is. The 
range the missile travels is long but the explosion radius is small  it 
will only effect the target character unless they are right on top of 
another player. Characters can shake the missile by keeping away from 
it for the five sentences or by causing it to hit another player (the 
missile will denote if it hits anyone else in its pursuit of the target). 
Since the missile travels at a moderate speed, faster characters will 
have far better luck getting away.

Special move #3e
Condition: A hand with two pair
Move name: Stinger Duo
What it does: Launches a pair of seeker missiles that seek out the two 
closest targets.
Damage: **
Speed: ***
Range: *** (Long)
Notes: This operates just like the Stinger except with two missiles. 
Its possible (but unlikely) that both missiles could hit the same target, 
doubling the damage.

Special move #3f
Condition: A hand with three of a kind
Move name: Mega Missile
What it does: Launches a huge missile at a spot of Parlays choice. The 
missile erupts into a large explosion damaging any characters in the 
area.

Range: ** (Medium)
Notes: When this attack occurs a reticle appears on the ground. Parlay 
can move this reticle by clicking the R3 button and moving the right 
analog stick. Parlay has two seconds to choose a location within medium 
range of her current location. After two seconds or a second click of 
the R3 button the Mega Missile launches directly into the area 
highlighted by the reticle. The missile flies very quickly in a direct 
path to the target; players have about one second to try and get away. 
Characters in the resulting explosion take moderate damage; any 
character hit by the missile en route to the reticle will take damage 
from being struck AND be driven into the target area, taking additional 
damage from the explosion. The explosion can hit Parlay if she targets 
the area she is currently occupying.

Condition: A straight 
Move name: Laser Sweep
What it does: A thin laser beam sweeps a wide arc in front of Parley.
Damage: **
Speed: ***
Range: ** (Medium)
Notes: This attack causes a laser beam to sweep the area in front of 
Parlay. The beam starts slightly to Parlays left and ends slightly on 
her right. The range of the beam is greater than most short attacks, but 
less than most mediums (just beyond sweep range). Players hit with the 
beam take mild damage and are knocked away. The beam is constant from 
start to finish and can hit any number of players in its path. It 
should be noted that since this move emanates from Parlays current 
position, it moves with her as she runs (so someone not in range when 
the move began could find themselves in range if Parlay closes on them).

Special move #3h
Condition: A flush
Move name: Mad Rush
What it does: Parlay turns deep red and becomes invincible for a period 
of five seconds. During the period of invincibly Parlays speed is 
increased by two ranks (to a maximum of *****). Anyone Parlay runs into 
during her invincibly will take moderate damage and be knocked away from 
her.

Notes: Opponents hit by the rush will retain their feet but stumble away 
and need a second to regain their bearings. After the Rush, Parlay 
requires a second to recover. During her recovery period Parlay must 
stand still and is vulnerable to attack.

Special move #3i
Condition: Full House
Move name: One Armed Bandit
What it does: This move causes a number of slot machines to suddenly 
appear on the field. The machines are roughly the size and height of a 
character and pop out of random spots on the field. Any character that 
runs into a slot machine slams into it face first and falls to the floor. 
The effected character sits on the floor dizzy for a few seconds before 
resuming control.

Notes: All the machines pop out of the ground at the same time and are 
only on the field for a moment. While the machines appearance is 
immediate their placement is totally random and there is no guarantee 
that any will appear before opposing characters. Attacks interrupted by 
machines will be negated. Parlay herself is immune to this attack and 
will automatically vault over any machines that appear before her.

Special move #3j
Condition: Four of a kind
Move name: Slot Wave
What it does: This attack causes a line of mini slot machines to suddenly 
appear from the right of the screen. The line covers the screen from top 
to bottom and rapidly proceeds from the right of the screen to the left. 
Anyone hit by the machine wall is floored and takes heavy damage.
Damage: ****
Speed: ****
Range: N/A
Notes: This attack can be avoided with a well-timed jump. The trouble is 
that the appearance of the slot wall is so sudden, players in the lead 
are hard pressed to react quickly enough to avoid it. The further behind 
a character is, the easier it is to react and jump over the wall. 
Characters hit take severe damage and are laid out for a few seconds 
before they can get up and continue. Parlay herself can by hit by the 
Slot Wave, so using the SDP while in the lead can be a calculated risk.

Special move #3k
Condition: Straight Flush
Move name: Mad Sweep
What it does: Parlay gains the speed increase and invincibly of the Mad 
Rush and fires off a pair of lasers similar to those of the Laser Sweep.
Damage: *** (see below)

Range: **
Notes: The lasers in this attack operate just like the Laser Sweep 
except they are slightly longer (normal medium length) and one originates 
to the left and the other to the right. Midway through the attack the 
lasers cross in the center for a moment and then separate and proceed on 
to completion. Damage on this attack can be cumulative. Individually the 
lasers do *** damage, but anyone hit by the crossed beams takes double 
damage. The Rush component of this attack does reduced damage (*) but 
the stumbling the Rush causes makes opponents prone to subsequent laser 
strikes. There is no recovery period for this attack.

Special move #3l
Condition: Royal Flush
Move name: JACKPOT!!!!!!!
What it does: JACKPOT!!!!!!! causes mini-deaths to appear and instantly 
KO every opponent on the field.
Damage: Total
Speed: N/A
Range: N/A
Notes: If Parlay is lucky enough to draw this move, everyone other 
character on the field is instantly KOed. This attack cannot be avoided.


SDP Notes: After utilizing a SDP technique, players must wait 25 seconds 
from the end of the previous SDP effect before they can attempt another 
draw. 

Character strategy: While possibly unbelievably cheap, Parlay is 
actually a huge risk. Each of her specials have the possibly to give her 
an unavoidable edge, but they also have the potential to cripple her 
with a huge disadvantage. The SDP in particular is a considerable risk 
as the probability of receiving the better results is significantly 
lower than the chance of getting a negative result. Players using Parlay 
had best trust their luck.

Parlay: Folding before youre even dealt your hand?!? Unbelievable!!

hand toward them*
Parlay: Youre gonna have to learn to take risks if you wanna hit the 
big score.
*Parlay is shown looking down at a deck of cards in her hand; she appears 
to be leafing through them*
Parlay: Just step back from the table  Ive no time for amateurs.

Parlay: Snake eyes...
*Parlay suddenly switches to a pleasant grin; eyes closed. She extends

*Parlay looks at the opponent knowingly and points a finger*
Parlay: Just be sure and give me another shot one of these days. Ive 
got a feeling things will even out...
