(for 8.1.03)
I got up about five something a.m. with no problem, lit the candles, did my daily cleansing ritual, blew out the candles, and I was out anticipating the day; plus I haven't seen Taneicia (my best friend) in forever and Lajuana (my other best friend) since the summer. Not to mention Lajuana also has my birthday gift ("Deep thoughts" by The Boss) so you know I gots ta hurry up!
Finally I'm there. It's freezing. The coldest day this fall, in fact all the other days have been extremely warm. Then BOOM! Outta nowhere here comes the "iceman" to do his duty. We finally all meet up and go inside. Only a few people are there, most of them anticipating the moment just as Taneicia, Lajauana and I were (whoever wasn't must've been going to see Maury).
We finally get our tickets after a small discrepency. Not much later, in she walks with a cool air about her almost unnoticed until she got to the front where we were. Shortly after a lady who worked in the building came and passed out books to every one in line. Now I'm thinking "this is better than a doublemint commercial" I done lucked up on 2 of the same books in one day (which is very good; now I don't have to buy a second one for my collector's item). Hours passed and we finally got in to see the show, which was very touching. It was about these young girls 13 and 14 years of age who have complexes about their looks (the poor things didn't even let the audience see them at first). Miss Nell came to the show too. I think that was her neice she was accompanied by. I was glad to see her there becuase I got a chance to give her some stuff that my neices had for her daughter. Miss Nell is a short heavy set lady with a very sweet demeaner. She's pretty and wears a big hairstyle that suits her well. She seems like she could be the mother in the neighborhood that everyone on the block just loves. She gives off that kind of vibe and because I'm ususally good at reading people I'm probably right.
Anyway to make a long story short, I got a small second with her daughter after the show only to find out that if I wanted another small second that would be a little longer than the first I should meet her at Barnes and Noble at 5:30p.m. sharp. Alright I thought. I mean it aint like I gotta alter my shedule none. I aint got shit to do today! I went immediately after the show arriving around noon-ish. I figured I'd better wait around because it's really gonna get hectic. I'm just hoping she's on time because I got a lotta hours to wait and it sure is freezing! Thank the heavens she's on time and I can go in to Barnes and Noble now. . .(11.30.99)
