The FireBall
Gregg has had 3 different balloons, but all of them have been red with black flags, so they were Fireball 1, Fireball 2, and Fireball 3.  Right now he still flies Fireball 3 and is trying to buy back Fireball 2 for me!
His Balloon is 90,000 cubic feet, and the envelope, when in the bag, weighs around 350lbs!  Rather large balloon.  I can't remember the exact specifications right now and I can't find my card, but here are some pictures! :)
Back to My Ballooning Page
September 6th:  Just an update.  Poor Gregg was going on a sponsor flight at the Illinois River Balloon Festival in Tahlequah, OK, the weekend after Ballon Fest and ran into some unfortunate problems.  Like I said, ballooning can be a dangerous sport, and this is one instance that even though things were completly as they should be, freak incidents came up.  They were no more than 15 feet off the ground when a wind gust threw them back into the ground.  They hit and bounced up and down for a while, being banged up and thrown around, until the basket finally stayed on the ground.  At this point though, a balloonist's worst nightmare came true for that crew...  The envelope layed over on the power lines they were next to.  As far as I have heard, no one was seriously injured, just really shaken up and lots of damage done to the balloon, as you can imagine.  I'll keep you posted as I learn more, I'm waiting for a responce from our Crew Cheif.!
