YOUR CHURCH IN ACTION

Ladies Bible Study

A new ladies Bible study began recently on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the parlour. Teri Brickey is the leader. This series is entitled "Following God: Learning from the Kings of the Old Testament." This is designed to study the kings and learn from their mistakes and their victories on how to follow God in our everyday lives. The workbook is $12. Ladies must sign-up to receive a workbook. Contact Teri at 966-6962. Child care will be available.

Another adult Bible Study

Maggie Wurtz is starting a Bible study called "The purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. Workbooks are available for $14. Contact the church office to reserve yours and check the Sunday bulletin for the start date of the study.

Heating/Air Conditioning Repairs Completed

Our unexpected repairs have been completed. Donations have come in and continued or more donations will still be accepted to complete payments on this and on last year's air-conditioning maintanence work.

Wednesday night Activities

Dollar Dinners have started back up on Wednesday evenings. Each Wednesday evening, this fun and convenient program that made such a positive impact in the life of our church last year and will again this year, needs your help. We need volunteers for cooking and clean-up. Contact Patsy Phelps at 276-4898 or sign up on the sheet in the church entry-way.

Drama Production

A unique dramatic presentation is scheduled for Oct. 3rd at 6 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church. The church is located at 1711 SW 44th St, across the street from McKay Elementary School. They are hosting David Sandborn, an actor who presents the Bible character, King David, in a unique way. Admission is free and the public is invited. The presentation lasts about an hour. If you have questions, contact David or Karen Lange at 276-7718

CD Available

Mandi Miller's new CD is no wout and if you would like to purchase one ($12), contact DiAnna Miller at 276-9020.

Holidays are coming!

The holidays are coming. That means our annual Soup Luncheon and Holiday Craft Bazaar. At this time we are evaluating this fundraising event. In order for it to be successful, more manpower is necessary. Needed are volunteers to chair separate areas (lunch, bake sale, bazaar set-up, sales, publicity, etc.) and one chair over the entire event. Let the church office know if you can participate in this event.

2005 Budgets

All board and committee chairs need to complete and submit 2005 budgets before the scheduled budget meeting on Oct. 5. If you have any questions, please contact Tom Demianew.
