ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING

  • Annual Reports - handed out Sunday Oct. 31
  • Informational Mtg - Wednesday Nov 3 at 7:45
  • Business Mtg - Sunday November 7th - following the morning worship service
    • Ballots are used to ratify leadership positions and approve new budget
    • To vote: you must have reached your 18th birthday
    • To vote: you must have worshipped regularly and in harmony with the First Church of God, Pendleton, Oregon for the past six months
    • To vote: You must express your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
    • You do not have to be a voting member to attend the meeting. Everyone is invited to stay.

Fall Soup Luncheon and Holiday Craft Bazaar

Friday and Saturday, November 12/13 -- our annual Fall Soup Luncheon and Holiday Craft Bazaar. We have some very fine artists and crafts people signed up to participate in this area's one-of-a-kind bazaar. There will also be a bake sale. Be sure to sign up if you have time to help with some aspect of this wonderful event.

SCRAPBOOKING FRIDAY

Friday November 19th (always the 3rd Friday of the Month) - come join the ladies for this fun time together.

Christmas Choir

Singing practice for the adult Christmas program is 5 p.m. each Sunday evening. All are invited to sing with the group. Contact Marty Ward if you have questions. Adult Choir will be performing "A Night to Remember on Sunday December 19th.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS
For only $1 per person, this fun and popular event is such a convenient way to have your Wednesday night meal. What a positive impact these meals have been in the life of our church this last year and we are looking forward to another year of great meals. But -- your help is needed. Please volunteer for cooking and clean-up. Contact Patsy Phelps at 276-4898
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
LOVE LOAF -Love your neighbor, reach the world
  • Pick up a Love Loaf at church
  • Place it in a prominant place in your home
  • Put coins and bills in your Love Loaf each day
  • Pray that God will comfort and protect nearly 800 million men, women and children who go to bed hungry each night
  • Use the Family Devotional to spend time as a family learning about God's compassion, His word and His love for people who are hungry
  • Bring your Love Loaf to church on Love Loaf Harvest Sunday, November 28th and share in the joy of making a difference.

A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY

Pendleton's After Five November 8th meeting is at 6:30 in the Vert Clubroom, SW 4th. A silent auction will be held to benefit a village missionary in need. Homemade or purchased items are needed as auction items; donations can be made by contacting our church office (Anita). Guest speaker this month is Karon Heineman of Sherwood, Oregon. Soup, bread and pumpkin pie will be served. Cost is only $7.75. All ladies are invited to this special evening of fun and fellowship. Contact Verna at 276-7110 for your reservation.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HELPERS NEEDED

We are bursting at the seams. We need helpers for "crowd" control. If you have one free hour per week, contact Teri Brickey at 966-6962.

  • Sunday November 21st at noon (RIGHT AFTER CHURCH) is our annual Thanksgiving dinner. Bring your favorite dish to share. Watch the bulletin to sign up for the dish you will bring. Join us for this wonderful annual occassion.

  • Tuesday November 23rd at 7 p.m.- Blessing Service - in the church sanctuary.

BAND OF BROTHERS

November 9, and 30th -Band of Brothers men's meeting from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

HANGING OF THE GREENS
Sunday December 5th at 5:00 p.m. - keep this date open for the annual Hanging of the Greens ceremony.
