POTLUCK SUNDAY

A fellowship poluck will be enjoyed on March 16th following the morning worship service. Everyone is invited to bring one main dish AND a dessert or salad. Everyone is invited to stay and enjoy lunch.

CHILDREN'S BREAKFAST PROGRAM

The Children's breakfast Program needs a few more cooks and activity people for the month of March to help sub wile current helpers attend the new adult classes.

If you can sign up for ONE Sunday to cook, contact Teri Brickey, 966-6962.

To help with the activity time for ONE Sunday, contact Anita in the church office, 276-1894.

WORKDAY SATURDAY

A workday is scheduled for Saturday March 15, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are projects both inside and outside the building that need attention. Please sign up on the bulletin board if you can help. Adults, teens and children are welcome to come and lend a hand.

 

BABY SHOWER

v     Sign up for, our A baby shower for Parker Campbell, newborn daughter of Mandi and Marty, will be Sunday March 2 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Parker will bring along her Mom as we celebrate another new member of our church. Patsy Phelps and Karen Demianew invite all ladies to attend for a wonderful time of fellowship and refreshments!

 

MARCH MEETINGS

Board of Christian Education, March 6, at NOON

Fellowship Committee, in the kitchen on Sunday, March 16th immediately following the potluck.

MISSING DISHES

Please look downstairs in the kitchen or you just may see them in our next church yard sale!!! We are getting quite a collection with nowhere to store them.

 

SPRING SALAD LUNCHEON

Plans have begun for the Spring Salad Luncheon and craft Bazaar scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12. If you have a quality craft you would like to market, it's time to start! With Easter, Mother's and Father's Day, fraduations and weddings and July 4 festivities upcoming, there are plenty of good gift and decoration ideas to think about, not to mention spring/gardening items. Proceeds will go toward funding this year's Vacation Bible School, a "Scuba" adventure!

 

YOUTH ACTIVITIES

¨      Middle and high school youth recently shared photos of their "BLIZZARD 2003"

¨      There were a bunch of youth, Pastor Joseph and one counselor/volunteer who attended from our church. If you missed the presentation, you missed a really good presentation. 

THERE WILL BE NO MID-WEEK (WEDNESDAY MARCH 26TH) DURING SPRING BREAK

¨      Please be in prayer for ouryouth as they face the day to day challenges of being a teenage.

 

NURSERY ATTENDANTS

Nursery Attendants are needed  for Sunday school times, 9:25 a.m. to 10:35 a.m.   If you would like   to spend one hour with an adorable infant or young toddler, contact Pat Shupe, at 276-3266 

 

BASKETBALL SEASON

Basketball season is in full swing at the Salvation Army Gym. Come cheer on the team! The gym is at S.E. 1st and Emigrant.

YOUR FINANCES -- YOUR FUTURE

Chuck Hart, Director of Planned Giving from our State Association Office, will abe with us on Sunday, April 6 following the morning worship service.

Chuck has visited with us several times in the past and met with a number of people privately to discuss various financial aspects of estate planning, trusts, wills living wills and guardianship issues.

If you would like to meet with Chuch to touch base on any of the above items or update your current financial information, he will be available.

Appointments are being made now. Contact the church office, 276-1894.

Chuck would be happy to meet with you to answer your questinos and supply you with the needed information to make the best possible decisions when it comes to planning for YOUR future. This is a free service for everyone.

Kathi Zollman-Pray for her as she continueschemotherapy.

Bonnie Ward-As she attends the Police Academy in Monmouth until March 7. Also pray for a co-worker, Jan Romp, of Hermiston, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. .

George Mize-as he continues chemotherapy.

Charlotte Eliason-For her great granddaughter, Sierra Carey, who is hospitalized with a very serious malignant tumor.

Karen & Calvin Ashbeck-Pray for Karen's daughter, Jamie Been, as she recovers from another back fusion surgery. She suffers from a degenrative spine condition.

DiAnna Miller -Pray for her niece, Kelly, who had a prematuer baby girl (at 28 weeks) as a result of convulsions from toxemia and diabetes.

Len Shupe -Pray for him as he prepares to begin treatment for Prostate Cancer.

Mandi Miller-as she recovers from surgery (in New Zealand) to remove a growth on her vocal chords - which turned out NOT to be a turmor, but a swollen inflammation. Pray that they can understand what is causing this.

Allamae Hicks-Pray for her sister, Kathy, of Oklahoma City, who was hospitalized with a bleeding ulcer. She is now at home and recovering.

COG State Office-Missionaries, Tom and Norma Smith in Cairo, Africa, with a school for Sudanese refugee children, requests prayer for a large number of people (including 70 high school students) areested by the government.See bulletin board for more information

Board of CE -Praise for good turnouts for the adult Sunday School classes. Also pray for Marriage Relationships.. Pastor Joseph and the youth program .. Those choosing Jesus each Sunday ..
