FAMILY CAMP OUT

Reservations are in place at Harris Park (approximately 15 miles out of Milton-Freewater, up the Walla Walla River) for tent sites and RV spaces on June 29 & 30. There is playground equipment onsite, areas for biking and hiking, fishing, etc. (Wood is provided for campfires.) On Friday evening there will be s’mores and singin’ around the campfire at 7 p.m. Saturday morning a brief praise time will be held at 11:30 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch at noon. RV spots are $12 and tent sites are $7. If all sites have been reserved, Patsy Phelps will be taking names on a "waiting list" in case of cancellations. Call her at 276-4898 to see if any spots are still available or come up for the day!

FATHER'S DAY

We will celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 17 during our morning worship service. We will be honoring all men with a gift as they depart the morning worship service. We hope you will take this time to pause and give appreciation for all the men in your life.

BREAKFAST'S CONTINUE!

It’s breakfast time each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall downstairs for children 3 years old through high school. We’ve had a positive response to our new Sunday school format. After the children have eaten they enjoy a short story, object lesson, song or craft. During the 10:45 a.m. morning worship service they are dismissed to their Sunday school classes. This program will continue throughout the summer. (Seventh–twelfth graders meet for their Sunday school class at 9:45 a.m. on the 1st & 2nd Sundays; on the 3rd and 4th --and sometimes 5th--Sundays, they will dismiss during morning worship with the rest of classes.)

FAMILY FUN FEST NIGHT!

On Sunday, June 24 at 5:30 p.m., we will have a family craft time making a July 4th decoration. Then the adults, youth and children will play a game or two of whiffle ball, followed by pie! (Contact Patsy Phelps if you can bring a pie.) This is the perfect time to get the family together and invite friends and neighbors to enjoy a summer evening together. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for these outside activities.

BRRRRRRR... IT’S VBS TIME!

"Polar Expedition" is this summer’s theme for Vacation Bible School where kids can learn that loving Jesus is cool. They will enjoy Glacier Games, Igloo Eats and other Arctic adventures. Shannon Ellner, Teri Brickey & Cindy Fitzpatrick are teaming up to bring our kids some snowy-weather fun beginningJuly 9-13 (new dates!). If you would like to be a teacher, helper, snack provider, song leader, clerical aide or crafts person, please contact Shannon at 276-7927 or Teri at 966-6962. If you haven’t participated in a church activity lately, step up and volunteer. Be part of this fun & exciting time where longtime memories are made that could make a difference in the life of a child.
