You are responsible for your own change, any extra tables you might need and getting set up by 8 a.m. You may close whenever you wish. At this time we know of six sales planned. Come join us to have a sale or just come and shop.

OREGON FOR CHRIST

"OREGON FOR CHRIST", an annual offering taken at this time of year, is specifically for new church "plants" in our district area, namely Oregon and S.W. Washington. The goal for this year's offering is a state-wide total of $15,000. We will join with all Church of God congregations in our district to give to this worthy cause - starting new churches and helping newly formed congregations. We will take this special offering on August 1st. This offering will also be presented in the opening worship service at Campmeeting in Brooks, Oregon.

PLANNING FOR FALL

As planning begins for September and all the back-to-school details that go along with it, our Board of Christian Education, is looking for teachers and helpers. The official kick-off for our midweek program will be Wednesday September 22 when our supper mealtimes will re-start. If you would like to team up with someone to help with the kid's program, contact Teri Brickey. Our program is getting big enough that we need to start new classes for some age groups.

NEW BOOKS

New books in our library: a series by Jane Kirkpatrick about local pioneer woman, Marie Dorion, which includes "Every Fixed Star", "A name of her own" and "Hold tight to the thread". CHECK THEM OUT TODAY! Our library is full of great books of all types. Take a few minutes to browse the shelves and see how professionally they are catalogued and displayed. Our library doubles as an adult classroom AND the official music room. -- find it next door to the church office. Thanks to Elaine Entermille who does a great job as librarian.

PRAYER CHAIN

A vital part of  our ministry and heartbeat of the church is the PRAYER CHAIN.  It is for you in your time of need.  If you have a need or concern, please contact one of the following:

                Allamae Hicks - 276-1545
                Church Office  - 276-1894

You may also e-mail us at one of the following email addresses:

                [email protected]
                [email protected]
                [email protected]
                 [email protected]

At this time we have 50 email addresses that your requests go out to.  If you do not have access to e-mail, you may participate by telephone.  Contact the church office if you would like to be added as a prayer warrior to either chain (phone or email).

Special Prayer concerns recently are:

Craig and Karla Robinson: Pray for their son, Jeff Waterlund, and all the troops serving in the Middle East, that they return home safely to their country, family and friends.

Mike and Bonnie Wasson: Pray for their son-in-law, J. R Barnes, as he trains to go to Iraq. Also pray for J. W. Cleveland (son of Barb and Tom Cleveland) who is in the same group of soldiers.

Kathleen O'Hara: Pray for her grandaughter, Elina, who has been diagnosed with neurofibromytosis, a non-malignant tumor condition, that is currently affecting her optic nerves. Pray that this condition doesn't develp into anything more serious or cause serious complications. Also pray for Kathleen and Dennis as they have officially moved to White Salmon. Look at Sunday's bulletin to get their address or call the church office. They would love to get mail from you.

FARMERS: Pray for our area wheat farmers as they continue with wheat harvest. Pray that the season is successful for them and their workers. Many of our church family are directly affected with local area harvests.

Anonymous: Pray for personal financial matters
