Karen Parker-As she prepares for a surgical breast biopsy in early April .

George Mize-as he continues chemotherapy.

Charlotte Eliason-For her great granddaughter, Sierra Carey, who has a very serious malignant tumor. She had a kidney removed and is recovering at home and continuing her cancer treatments at Doernbecker's in Portland.

Elaine Entermille-Pray for her family on the death of her brother, Merle Dagget of JOseph and for her husband, Dave, as he is job hunting after loosing his BMCC job of 19 years due to budget cuts.

Marie Blocksom -This is Darlene Marquardt's Mother. Marie, who lives in West Salem, now suffers from dysphasia and can no longer communinicate correctly with anyone. She is also taking treatments for leukemia, polysythemia and heart problems and is diabetic. She is currently still living in her own apartment and has someone coming in each day to check on her. Pray as she learns to deal with this new situation in her life. Also pray for Darlene as she is not able to visit her Mom as often as she would like due to job and distance and is having to deal with this from a distance.

Len Shupe -Pray for him as he prepares to begin treatment for Prostate Cancer.

Carol Fitzsimmons-Pray for her as she recovers from knee surgery.

Allamae Hicks-Pray for her sister, Kathy, of Oklahoma City, who was hospitalized with a bleeding ulcer. She is now at home and recovering.

Donica Maring-Praise God for assignment to a new position at her job. Pray that her living situation will not become an issue again. Also pray for her as she begins full time school again along with working full time grave yard shift. Continue to pray that she keeps her depression under control. Pray for her brother who is bi-polar.

Bonnie Wasson -Pray for her son, Erik, who has been hired by Milton-Freewater Police Dept. and just graduated from the Police Academy. Pray for his protection in every aspect of his new career and how it affects his life

Whitney Porter -- For co-worker, Jon Nitz, who broke both wrists and bones in his hand when falling off a ladder recently. (note: this affects many of our schools, as Jon goes around to various schools and works especially with special needs students)

Craig and Karla -- For Karla's son, Jeff Waterland, as he awaits deployment in May or June wiht the Army and for Craig's son, Shad, that he continue to make good choices in his life.

Cal and Karen Ashbeck -- For Cal's daughter, Kelly Booth, as she prepares to be deployed in the near future with a National Guard unit to the Middle East.

Anonymous -- Pray for a family who needs some peace while dealing with some difficult interpersonal relationships

Anonymous --For a daughter's protection, safety and guidance to make good decisions and choices and the strength and wisdom to carry them out.

COG State Office-Missionaries, Tom and Norma Smith in Cairo, Africa, with a school for Sudanese refugee children, requests prayer for a large number of people (including 70 high school students) areested by the government.See bulletin board for more information

Board of CE -Praise for good turnouts for the adult Sunday School classes.

PRAISES -- Shirley Pardue on the birth of her great granddaughter, Delainy Lynn Winter, on March 26. Delainey weighed in at 6 lbs., 5 oz. and 20 inches tall. She has lots of black hair.

PRAISES -- For Matt Lindell who found a great job at OSU. Also pray for Marriage Relationships.. Pastor Joseph and the youth program .. Those choosing Jesus each Sunday .. COALITION OF PRAYER

At this time of war, it is essential for God's people to mount up as a mighty army of prayer warriors.

We feel it is important to make our sanctuary available for prayer each Wednesday throughout the day for our congregations and the public to come and pray. Since the conflict began on Wednesday, we have chosen that day as a day of prayer.

The following concerns are brought before you as areas that will need God's guidance, protection and love (some were mentioned previously in a previous section)

President Bush and our leaders
Coalition troops
People of Iraq, displaced persons and refugees
Missionaries, diplomats and other western people leaving or attempting to leave the region
Pray for Israel and Lebanon's peace
Our children and their fears
Families of our service personnel
Military chaplains
Soldiers from our church family, Kelly (Ashbeck) Booth and Jeff Waterland

Looking to God's word, we find guidance and resolve in II Corinthians 10:3, "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does." and I Timothy 2:2, " ... for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

ANNIVERSARIES IN APRIL

Faber and Marie Dorough -- April 1

BAPTISM

A baptismal service will be held Sunday April 27. If you would like to be baptized, contact the church office as soon as possible, 276-1894

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Tamera Pahl, Sunday school superintendent, announces the continuation of our current adult classes throughout April. They are:

Jim Phelps is leading a Promise Keepers study for men on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. - downstairs.
Maggie Wurtz is teaching on Nehemiah at 9:45 a.m.
Teri Brickey is finishing a Beth Moore study on "Breaking Free" for women that begins at 9:30 a.m.

MID-WEEK PROGRAMS

v     Each Wednesday night our kid's program continues with Biblical character lessons, games, crafts, and snacks for 3 years old through 5th graders.

v     The adults will meet in the parlor with Pastor Rick at 7 p.m. and Nursery care is available with our nursery attendant, Janette Ingle

v     All high schoolers meet in the youth room with Pastor Joseph at 7 p.m.
v     Our middle schooler students also continue to meet on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.
