FELLOWSHIP OF
CHRISTIAN ATHLETES

Plans are being made to begin a chapter of the national organization of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.   David Williams, Pastor Rick and Pastor Joseph are meeting to build a foundation for this organization in our community.  If you would like to know more about the mission of FCA, its history and how it can apply to the young athletes of Pendleton, contact Pastor Rick.  An organizational meeting will be called in the near future and they are hoping for support from adults who enjoy athletics and working with our young men and women.   This outreach can make a very real difference in the lives of our youth.  Call the office, if you would like to be involved.

PARENTING CLASS BEGINS

Beginning Sunday, May 5 at 9:45 a.m. Jim Phelps will begin a new adult study on parenting entitled, “Growing Kids God’s Way.”  Parents (and grand-parents) are encouraged to attend while the kids eat breakfast downstairs. The nursery will be available for infants through 2 years.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Teri Brickey is now signing up volunteers to help with this year’s VBS, “Bug Safari, which is July 8-12.   She needs helpers in several different areas: group leaders, storytellers, crafts, snacks, games, and music.  She hopes you “catch” the enthusiasm and are “itching” to help out, without “bugging” you too much!  Hopefully adults and youth-age teens will “swarm” her with a “buzz” of positive responses.  “Bee” a helper NOW-before time “flies!”
