We invite you all to come worship with
us in our celebration of Jesus' love and experience the "LOVE THAT'S
SPOKEN HERE". Expect God to do great things for you each Sunday.
Summer worship times will continue.
Sunday School for adults (and the kid's breakfast club) will begin at 9:00
a.m. and morning worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. Children and students
3 years old through 12th grade will continue to be dismissed during the morning
worship service. This will continue until Sunday, August 31.
As most of you know, Pastor Rick is on
sabbatical this summer. During July we will have the following special speakers:
July 6 -- Dave Shrout, July 13 -- Don Hodney, and July 20 -- Chuck Ellis.
Please remember our special speakers in your prayers as they minister to us
from God's word.
Volunteers are still needed for this year's VBS (Vaction Bible
School) program, "Scuba Adventure", beginning July 7-11.. Volunteer
to be a "crew" leaders to help usher children around to the various activities.

Special Needs: Jelly in squeeze bottles, Red delicious
Apples, 2 lb bricks of cheddar cheese, Red or Green bunches of grapes.
Our first "end-of-the-month" potluck will be Sunday, June
29 at Phyllis Mayberry's home, 3323 S.W. Kirk Ave. at 6 p.m. Everyone
is invited to bring a salad or dessert to share. Table service and beverages
will be provided. Please RSVP to Phyllis at 278-2245 so she can make
plans for the seating.

Our Wednesday night programs continue
featuring something new this summer. we will get together and share a meal.
Each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. food will be served for everyone. Dinner
will be provided at the church with a donation of $1.00 per person. Dinner
is at 6 p.m. with Bible Study following.
A new ladies book club will be reading "Eve's Daughter" by Lynn Austin.
Get a copy, read it and a discussion time will be Monday, June 30 at 6 p.m.
Bring food to share!
Our annual fireworks booth is in Albertson's
parking lot again this year and is now open for business. Support our youth
and get your zingers, poppers, sparklers, sizzlers, screamers, smokers, value
packs and fountains there. The booth will also be open following
the fireworks show at Community Part. Stop by for your "last-minute" purchase.
The 4th is on a Friday and you'll need a LOT of fireworks to last the weekend!

FIREWORKS
In case you haven't heard, the july 4th
fireworks site has been changed FROM the Round-Up grounds TO the community
park.
Terry Brickey invites everyone to her home
(4311 S. W. Kirk Ave.) which borders the park.
Show up about dusk (bring chairs, blankets)
and bring some munchies to share!

Teens, watch the Sunday bulletin and keep in contact with Pastor
Joseph regarding activities for summer. I know lots of special events are
in store for you this summer.
There are two water skiing days planned:
June 22 and July 6. At this time they need boats and drivers. If you can
provide either of those, contact Pastor Joseph or Billie Parker.

Mail your reservation form on or after June
1st. Information is in the entryway at church. If you have any preferences
(RV or camp sites, cabin, rooms etc) sign up early. Things fill up fast!
It is August 3-9 at Bethel Park in Brooks, Oregon, just north of Salem
off I-5.

Campmeeting is all about, contact Pastor Rick or Debbie. This year's theme
is "If Not Now.. When?" See the brochure for more details on this
year's leaders, children's programs, youth stuff and more. Also information
can be located in "The Contact" newspaper that gets mailed to your home monthly.

Allamae Hicks - As she heals from a broken
foot.
Kathi Zollman-PRAIZE for she is all done
with chemotherapy. She is now concentrating on growing hair back and feeling
better each day! She would like to thank everyone for their prayers and spritual
support.
George Mize-as he continues chemotherapy
and for he and Sue in their new home in Walla Walla. DON'T FORGET TO KEEP

Charlotte EliasonFor her great granddaughter, Sierra Carey,
who will be continuing her cancer treatments for many many months
Marlene Schuening - Pray for her 18 month old neice,
Grace, who is not yet crawling, walking, standing or talking very much. So
far tests have not shown any obvious problems.
Marie Blocksom -Continue to pray for Darlene Marquardt's
Mother. Marie, who lives in West Salem. She is MUCH better, but continues
to be quite frail.
Darlene Marquardt - As she works the entire month of
July at Meadowood Springs Camp. Pray for good weather and lots of energy.
Malina Lindell will also be participating in this camp as a sign language
interpreter. Pray that it is a succesful and great time for all participates,
both children and adults.
Anonymous -- For a family member struggling
with an addiction. They are currently in treatment on a trial basis - but
prayer is needed so this person with remain and fully conquer this.

and Norma Smith in Cairo, Africa, with a school for Sudanese refugee children,
requests prayer for a large number of people

turnouts for the adult Sunday School classes and the new summer classes.
